Thats because Google has the StreetView initiative to have a car on the road to scan all the signboard and determined the lane on each road to have a lane guidance system.

Since Waze doesnt have these information, they are not aware of the lanes on the street and let driver know which lane to take.
But i like Waze more as it has a more accurate traffic details from driver input as more Driver are using Waze.

Waze's appeal is it's social side - speed traps, construction etc.

GMaps is geared more towards full navigation including walking and also offline navi.

Waze also got, it will show arrow left or right in each junction or interchange. If not u have to listen carefully like "Keep left then keep right".

Last time Waze don't have this function and quite confusing, if not u can follow waze signboard like going to "KL/Bangsar" like that.

Ya, Waze does show which way to turn. Just that Google Maps is more comprehensive
Sometimes Waze is confusing as its only show which way to turn, if there is 2 exit on the left then have to decide the 1st exit or 2nd exit to take.
But if you use Google Maps it will show on the screen which lane should you drive on to make the turn.

Just an example, if you are going to National Mosque from the Jalan Duta.
Once you have reach the junction that separate Bangsar & Jalan Istana.
Google Map will show 4 lanes on the screen, then asked to stay on the left most lane.
After reaching the flyover then will change 2 lanes on screen and asked to stick to the left lane and turn on 1st exit to the left.
Cause on the flyover if u missed the 1st left exit i will be heading to the front junction which only can turn into KL Sentral  on left or Bangsar on right

Let me be clear, i prefer Waze over Google Maps for the accurate Traffic.
This also teaches me not to rely too much on navi and try to make my own decision, so everytime before start driving i will always look at the whole navi map and understand which junction i should take which lane.
I also think thats why i see few cars on the road tried to squeeze into left from the right to the left when 100m before the junction at high speed on a 3 lane street.
They drive too fast and dunno which lane to stay on before reaching the junction.

Wze founded by an israel company and it is so successful worldwide. Google bought it over a few years ago even they already have google map tech.

They already said that both app will be developed independently because both has its own strength.

except my rider app shown the car like no moving like that and move a bit only + still need 5 minutes to arrive. and suddenly the driver car appear right in front of me...I was surprised

during the ride, I saw the driver app got timer like counting the time taken for the ride. but my fare still the same at the end by the way.

For some taman jalan yes, please rely on the distance measurement rather than jalan. Drive so long also can agak which junction to turn in.

For main signboard for highway/interchange turn, the signboard is useful for counter check. Waze doesn't fail me on this. It really help me a lot at Cheras and Damansara Perdana interchange, especially the interchange after leisure mall is confusing like hell.

Waze can be inaccurate at certain time, for certain route better avoid with traffic light, definitely will slow u down. Few rider try to argue with me and ask me to use old klang road, i told them the traffic light going to cost additional 3-5mins.

I still use waze often, lazy to switch and familiar with the interface.

Roughly know which junction to turn already lah, lane guidance only effective for those did not familiar with the roads. Other than that some interchange really need to follow signboard.

When road has 2 immediate turn , I once before (1)turn then got (2)3 road to choose but waze already point to (3)straight ( mean I inside the chosen road d which I not yet ) , the signboard name all no show on waze d , lastly ask passenger , passenger see signboard above clearly show the way lols. Luckily not jam time can stop , else I will follow waze go straight which was wrong.

i don't bring hp today to work, so only can clarify later.
but as also a grab rider, i did not receive information from grab of klcc management (i seldom go klcc) about the Isetan closure for PUP and DOP. if any klcc, customers or staff can clarify on this.
i am sure many not aware of this, then drivers will still have problem on this e.g riders pick suria klcc as PuP then say at isetan entrance. but as usual, persuade the riders or cancel.

if nobody can clarify, then i should go down klcc myself be agent Hunt and investigate
