hi guys.
im looking to buy a 2015 ckd hs mazda 3
ive test drive the car and found out that the i stop n rvm does not function at all
and at the i stop screen. it says i stop not ready and only the engine and aircon logo lights up.
plus there is a error saying that airbag malfunction. the logo will blink and appear time to time.
is it a bad car or just a bad battery?
hope any good samaritans out there can help me out.
thanks in advance

The test car has probably been thrashed left and right by aggressive drivers. The condition of the test car should not bias you to the quality of the car which is better than most other CKD cars.

My apologies for reading wrongly. If it is a second hand car you should be concerned about the error indications. A weak battery can result in i-stop error (a flashing orange i-stop icon) but that's about it. There should not be other errors which have nothing to do with the battery. You should tell the owner to get the battery replaced and the errors fixed before you make a deal. Make sure he replaces with a Q85 EFB battery designed for i-stop as ordinary battery subject to i-stop will leak and give you serious problem down the road.

the i-stop is kinda annoying as i dont press on the brake pedal that hard, it sometimes start and stop even if i'm stationary.

am i not supposed to tekan the car until after the first 1000km service?

first of all thank u mr kluseng so much for ur advice.
i will ask him to chg the battery n let me test it out.
because from what i test that day, none of the functions of the iactive sense are working...istop, rvm, lane departure, the red logo in the side mirror isnt working at all..
and i dont c istop icon flashing..the only thing flashing was the airbag logo and also the warning on the mzd screen..plus i did check the battery indicator which its still says ok.
seems like this car has big problems...
anyone has encounter problems like: all the i activesense and i stop not functioning at all, and what will be the cause please kindly leave me some advice tq.

wah. hatchback is cool. congratulations!

for the first 1k km on my car i dont push it over 3.5k rpm. till today my car still ok, 0 issues from 100k mileage on engine. but heard frm some mechanics that modern car don worry about tekan or not because modern day machinery makes the engine with good precision thus need not break in your engine. how true isit im not sure because im not good at cars too.

just drove the car for the first time over the weekend as i didnt have the chance to test drive before buying it (no test drive car available)

took it up to genting to test if the GVC actually works...kinda mind blown by the way the car handled corners and how stable it was , body didn't get flung around during corners.

lane assist is kinda annoying unless driving long distance on a straight highway.

I tested before buying it at Mazda event. With Honda Civic to compare some more. When I made the s turn with Civic my friend sit at the rear got his head bang to the window, but the same didn't happen to Mazda 3, that's why I've chosen Mazda 3.

Mazda 3 doesn't have lane keep assist, it's merely lane departure warning. I turn it off at town driving, only on sometimes on long distance drive.

That won't work. Those are more for protecting the material, restoring shine and adding more pop.

This is merely my opinion. Given what I've heard and personally experienced from BS.. I will not be using them next time around. I know of 2 accounts where they refunded less amounts for NCD transfer and also refused to honor the sum insured agreement value. Reach time to claim, say must follow market value. So better don't over-insure your car value more than market value.. That'd be a waste... Pay less or shop around for better insurance.

So what do you think of any better insurance company out there? Is it Etiqa better?
Now many motor insurance giving agreed value but sad to heard you get market value instead of agreed value.

If I had to insure today....? I too would go for Etiqa straightaway. Especially with their new introduction. All authorized drivers covered.. No need to name drivers before hand and or claims denied if something happened with a non-authorized driver behind the wheel. Good if one frequently shares the car among family members or close pals. But of course, do get quotations from others like Allianz too. Then compare their benefits.. See which fits your lifestyle and driving habits more.
