Have to agree that the clear coat also not so thick/strong, but most modern bread and butter japanese brands also pretty similar. Get an automotive film stuck on your front bonnet and bumpers.

Supposedly, Mazda will be releasing upgrades this year for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. No date yet tho.

Well, technically we shouldn't as it's just going to be a firmware update. The functionality at least for Android Auto is actually in the current system. Just not officially enabled for easy access. But hey, who knows..later Bermaz wants to charge for firmware updates.. 

The weight saving from removing the i-loop system is negligible. It is just a capacitor to store charge when the brakes are applied and discharge the energy to the electrical system later. It was probably removed because the energy saving is not worth the cost of the system.

Removed since started CKD batch of the prefacelifted version.

If not, the car battery won't die so fast as the ieloop capacitor can power startup during istop.

But there are also some cases of ieloop failure, so a give and take situation. I guess mazda/bermaz thinks that ieloop don't work well in our climate/driving environment as even the new batch of CX9 also got that removed.

If you stay in the Klang Valley festivals are the time when we enjoy driving our Mazda 3 on uncongested roads. This CNY I taught a tailgater a lesson which I hope won't be easily forgotten.

I was driving on the fast lane of the Federal Highway at slightly over 110 km/h just following the traffic stream. A Myvi came up behind me tailgating very close. I ignored it. There were cars in front of me moving at the same speed so I couldn't go faster anyway. Why should I change lane back and forth just to let the tailgater pass?

The Myvi continued to tailgate me for a long distance. Then I saw a traffic break on the middle lane which I could use to teach the fellow a lesson. I accelerated towards the car in front, the tailgater accelerated with me. When I was close to the front car I suddenly switched to the middle lane. I heard brakes squeal, the Myvi almost banged the car in front. No doubt the driving stability and electronic stability control of the Mazda 3 assisted me in executing the maneuver perfectly.

In retrospect I'm not proud of what I did. I don't care if the tailgater got into an accident but it will involve an innocent driver. So please don't copy what I did. Just ignore the tailgater or switch lane.

Later the Myvi passed me. It was a lady driver. Probably a very troubled woman.

Im not sure if u guys xperience the same thing, very noisy road sound xspecially if u sit at the back... and how can i fix this?? Or reduce at least....

Sorry, has been a honda user for some time so not too sure for spare parts for other cars.

Bermaz Motor has introduced the new Mazda Privilege Card, which is the latest addition to the Mazda Peaceful Ownership Programme – five-year/100,000 km warranty with three-year/60,000 km free maintenance.

With the card, customers can enjoy a 15% discount on Mazda genuine spare parts and official merchandise, along with a 5% discount on labour charges. These discounts are also awarded on aftersales services required beyond the aforementioned warranty period.

Aside from benefitting customers, the Mazda Privilege Card also provides aid to the less fortunate through the Mazda Medicare Fund, a CSR programme by Bermaz established in 2014. This is accomplished via the RM100 sign-up fee for the card (valid for three years), which will serve as a tax-exempted donation to the fund in the name of the applicant.

The card’s benefits will only affect the Mazda vehicle that it is registered to, and can only be used at showrooms and after sales service centres operated by Bermaz Motor and Prima Merdu – applications can be done at these places. Moving forward, Bermaz plans to expand the use of Mazda Privilege Card to include all outlets nationwide in the near future.

That means you're quite hard on the pedal to let 1st gear hold so long 

On the other hand, i myself find that the programming upshifts to 3rd gear from 2nd too early.

I drive 90% on manual mode now
