I was told that after March 2018, Bermaz will bring back M3 CBU to Malaysia.

Means that the red color will be available and also price might increase by RM10k .

I wondered if anyone have similar information or my SA just hyping it up?
*
I heard this too, and also if the info is correct the spec will be slightly lower than the current CKD model, but the price will be higher due to CBU.

from what i heard, they are pushing out cx5 for export as well. so that explained why they are not bothered producing any m3 red yet.

i noticed that m3 rims are ugly if compared to m2 or cx-series. i like glossy titanium gray color on those car. sad.gif

exactly, m3 rim is so early 2000 ---

Mazda knows where to focus and they are right on the money on the cx5. C segment is hard hill to climb against the civic despite the regular final quality touches problem.

Won't be surprised if this is real. As the M3 sales volume is not exactly large, it may not make good economic sense to have ckd units.
If CBU units comes with additional goodies like BOSE sound systems, full fledged i-Activsense (or at least add radar cruise control), the $10K extra will be worth it.
Not to mention you are getting Japanese quality control thumbup.gif . However at this price even lesser potential buyers will be looking at M3.

The 1st gen cx5 also have some issues with suspension noise, albeit not as bad as what the mazda 3 faced, probably due to the higher suspension travel and different geometry.

The only major issue that i witnessed was one of my previous colleagues car got a leaky compressor. Leaking oil and noisy, but still drives well. His car could be a rare exception though...

No kidding bro. One tyre shop in Kajang do have this service but need to put your rims there for 4 days while they can loan you their rims while your rims are with them.

if not mistaken CX-5 should be around same price range with m3, comparing side by side CX-5 is a better buy with more interior space and it is a SUV, more and more SUV on the road nowadays

but i still like m3 for its sexy sporty look wub.gif

and there are more m2 and CX-3 on the road compare to m3

I just realized that for same price i can get high spec ketam.

I'll just wait for M3 see if price become cheaper or more expensive. If more expensive, i'll cancel my purchase d.

I only witnessed one of the CX5 with leaked rear trunk, water drip in when raining but able to solved by SC.
so I think M3 just can't compete with other c-segment sedan in M'sia, ppl easily go for ketam than M3.

Malaysians prefers more interior space, and add to the fact that the altis just got too darn boring and the new turbo engine frenzy, so ketam wins the game by market.

I went for the mazda3 because elantra turbo so slow to market into malaysia. Also thought of ketam, but also need to wait, no test drive some more, so mazda got my game smile.gif
