Good link. But paying full price for an item price Rm5k and above and which is also slated for delivery in more than 2 weeks for a mere Rm75 discount doesn't seem like a very good deal. sweat.gif

Ya, but I guess two weeks time is the official launch, so they can’t send you the phone any earlier biggrin.gif

True also. But what Im trying to say is the Rm75 is not adequate inducement to pull the trigger now. Unless its like a Qoo10 discount. tongue.gif

Need to pay so much for new adapter and usb c cable for so little charging gain compared to iPad adapter, really not worth it.
I will just stick to iPad adapter with existing usb A to lighting cable thanks
*
Quite true, for a lot of money spent on so call fast charging (29w/61w/87w), the value gained seems not so worth it. The phone itself already expensive sweat.gif. Unless already own a macbook charger then straight away can utilize fast charging with no additional cost.

If already have an iPad, can just use the 10/12w charger and experience the huge improvement over 5w.

Bang for the buck - iPad 12w charger (RM 89)
Budget not a problem, want to have fastest charging - Apple 87W Usb-C charger (RM 349) + Usb-C to Lightning cable (RM 89)

Telcos will announce on pre-order dates, usually.

Even if for this price, if I don’t have any iPad adapter b4, I will just buy 2. One put in office, one put at home. It’s still much cheaper than buying one freaking usb-c charger set (rm438)

Yeah, there’s no extra incentive to pull the trigger now. I’ll wait to fiddle with the actual phone first.

The 29/61/87w will all charge at the same rate so a 29w will be enough.
The usb c to lightning cable is RM119.

I have a feeling they will just announce a regular contract plan to begin with.

Yeah this time with ridiculous price, it makes more sense to order from telco. Get the cheapest monthly package, still have at least 1k rebate. Need a monthly data plan anyway.

indeed. a wise thing to do. but no more 1 year contract.

the reason of me not sticking with any telco this year and bought it directly at SG was because I dont want to lose my RM68 98 Maxis one plan which was rebated since the maxis saga. I dont want to renew the contract without the rebate and we dont spend more than 100 for a telco plan. And there was no great plan nowdays with Iphone plan except during the early iphone which have their own Iphone plan with "i" at the front and the <RM50 so called lite iphone plan. But the <RM50 phone plans are usually not heavily subsidised. Unless Maxis can continue provide the rebate after renewing the contract with the same plan which i doubt so.

Yeah, if you do have a legacy plan or some special rebate best stock to it but on the downside you can’t buy a new device with telco subsidies otherwise your plan reverts back to one of the existing ones.

maxis stingy, dont offer phone bundle with its cheaper plan bangwall.gif
if your current plan suit you, no point taking phone bundle plan just to get subsidize... only those who using plan like MOP128 or above which dont have contract may opt for it... no loss smile.gif

I'm paying RM98 for Maxis since iPhone 6 about three years ago, with 25GB data, it's better than current 98 package.
However, I'll need to pay 128/month if I want a cheaper iPhone X. I've calculated and it turns out that I'll be saving more in the long run.
