one bad drive can turn things around, that is why i say vettel winning the wdc this year is far fetched

looks like typical ferrari mid season slump starts this race

The problem with f1 cars is that they cannot be driven too slow, else down force not working, and you don't have grip. Vettel went too cautious/slow.

I hope Hamilton get penalised for the pitlane issue. Win goes to Bottas, Kimi closer in points to leaders.

The slow motion showed Seb locked all 4wheels. I think he panicked a bit there. I thought he will be able to get away if he let go and go into a spin instead.

Sounds so sour.

I think Botta will get his chance in a year or two when new regulations kick in.

Rains is pouring down now. Verstappen gamble would have paid off if the rain comes earlier.

Yes, but it's somewhat feels like fabricated as well that we have to rely on weather in order to get some suspense in the race which really sounds pathetic.

I really hope that we only get 2 tires choice and teams don't have to use both. Race their hearts out or play the strategy game and do the long boring race.

Really miss those days like what Schumi did once by winning with 4 stops.

His tires are overheating running behind a slower Kimi. You can't blame him for that. That's why he kept complaining on radio.

Seb must be kicking himself! laugh.gif He stole Ham's thunder in Britain but Ham takes it back with some interest to boot in Germany!

But I'm a bit pissed by Mercs team order to hold position. I was already anticipating a close fight between the top 3 for the final sprint to the finish but that team order really ruined it for me! Maybe Ham indeed still had the pace but we would never really know would we? Anyway again shows that Bottas still lacks that daring killer instinct to fight hard at critical moments. Probably if it was Seb/Alonso or even Rosberg/Ric in the other Merc, they would have overtaken Ham during that restart.

What's with Ham's hair though??

It's not bad luck or cursed, it's a driving mistake, just like Singapore last year.

Hopefully next race Seb can strike back. He should not let the points gap gets bigger than 1 race or else bye2 title again.

kinda funny really merc advertise "free to race" but simply not today or in this case for bottas as he and kimi a clear no 2

not that kimi and bottas can do anything, perhaps even bottas contract state clear no 2 if not GTFO lol

I don't think neither team made a mistake with team orders. Half way into the season with no clear favourite between Lewis and Seb. Plus they already into final 1/3 of the race.
