If Kimi lasted to the end, he might be able to help Seb get ahead of Max but I doubt can help Seb also ahead of Bottas. Anyway both Seb's pit stops were also rather slow, so that was the main cause he got held up behind KMag in his first one and then behind Max on his second. Both Ferraris basically lacked the pace needed to challenge both Mercs.

Yeah... And to overtake max also a big gamble for some extra points... So vettel might just turn down his engine to prolong its life.

Next race will return to normal tires though. This same thinner tread tires will be used again later in Silverstone and Paul Ricard.
