Mercedes engine is so good, that they can compromised in other things and able to use conventional nose design.

I think the problem with him is that he is not very good at motivating teams...vettel done better job at motivating ferrari than him imo.

Actually Mercs chassis is also equally good or at least very close to the best (which ever chassis that is). People just think about the engine coz it seems the most stand out and underestimate their chassis side but the Mercs is not too shabby either in most tracks that requires handling, especially mid-high speed sweepers. So if Mercs can do with a better looking nose design than why the others cannot? I think maybe Mercs even knows something different that the other teams might not quite get yet, hence they still maintain their different nose design than the rest.

Yeah maybe Alonso is not a good team player after all but his talent behind the wheel is unquestionable and therefore it's F1 loss that he's struggling so much in a shitty car while he still is one of the best on the grid.

Its all about compromised....from designer pov, looks it not important. All team use the ugly design, so it maybe the best compromise. Just that merc got more advantage in other aspect that they can opted not to use that ugly nose.

yup agree with you. alonso, deserve a better car. but i am not sure about his fate after Renault SG track conspiracy win. hahaha he having bad mojo join Ferarri, then McLaren. was hope he gets a competitive car. but it looks TR honda reliability will headline this 2018 season. if they success mean RB will jump ship with Honda 2019 season.

Glad to see kubica back on track even as test driver. hopefully he can secure f1 seat.

I honestly don't see why so much hype in Kubica, to me he's one of those too overrated ones. He barely just beat Nick Heidfield when he was in 100% condition, so he might be a decent one but he's no Alonso/Ham/Seb, not even Kimi's level when Kimi was at his best or Dani Ric or Max.

U gotta understand Kubica and Heidfeld are not in the league of Seb/Ham/Alonso or Kimi/Max/Dani Ric. At his best he’s probably at Perez and Hulkenburg’s level only. Good and consistent enough for a midfield team but certainly not great enough for a top team

Yup exactly! However whenever I read about people comments in the news about Kubica, they all rate him like another super driver or something which I cannot understand from where! His best was 2008 when he won once and finished 4th but that time Heidfeld also was doing pretty good and was only 2 places behind in 6th, so probably the car was decent.

Ferrari the team to beat this year. Mercedes the conservative design will lose the championship.

If based on look of the cars, I'd have picked TR as the fastest car followed by Mercs.
