It will be an interesting 2nd half of the season... Lando definitely need to work on his start and Oscar nailed it so many times.

Mercedes also need to find a good replacement for Lewis soon. GR63 might have gotten the win but he's so far off now.

I wonder how... did Mercedes really did something with GR63 car to give him an advantage over LH44?

And then they tried to cheat by not removing all the fuel from GR63 car. Holy ass... I know LH44 is going to Ferrari but this is too much.

Many pointing to the tyre wear of GR63 car, FIA should consider to weight the car without tyre and fuel in future. Coz strategy wise 1 stop really stands out last night in SPA.

It was a gamble and it is what it is. It turned out brilliant because people are only looking at the result, not his pace. Lewis was controlling the race and didnt pushed the limit. If he knew GR63 was going to the end, he would have pushed harder much earlier to close him down.

It was the perfect drama that I was expecting since there wasnt much on the table other than everyone criticising SP11 and maybe some favouritism claim going on at Mercedes. DTS would be epic.

Mercedes probably knew the risk IMO because they did asked over the radio... ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO 1 STOP... to which GR63 answered YES. What confirmed my suspicion is that they even left the fuel inside to make it weight 798KG.

No wonder LH can’t catch GR 👀

LH was also told to leave GR space when fighting, for that LH went less aggressive afterall Mercedes is securing 1-2 for the race and LH also leaving the team at the end of season. LH was particularly unhappy that the 1 stop strategy was not being considered by his engineer but GR got the team to agree on that.

ya, its george that suggested for 1 stop. so, LH can't blame the team on that.

This is where it gets blown out of proportion. Lewis claimed he suggested 1 stop in pre race meeting but team turned him down saying its not possible. Also at no point in the race, Lewis was told GR is one stopping and he is racing him as well.

I wonder, if LH did a 1 stopper, how close would OP have caught him in the final few laps, coz the McLaren was quite fast.

If the reason because of the tire due to the 1 stop strategy, really feel sorry for george. He drove magnificently. But question here, why didn't the fia weight the car before the race start? What's the logic weighting the car post race?

This is weird, how come LH car weight is above limit while GR car is below limit. Did Mercedes tweak GR car to have lesser weight?
