Actually true, come to think of it, if Ferrari were to pit Vettel like 1 or 2 laps earlier than Charles, Hamilton would probably tapao both the Ferrari on track. So by pitting Vettel early, the team has good excuse to get him to block Hamilton by giving Charles some 3-4 sec advantage.

On the other hand, there was one lap where Hamilton rear skidded out a bit on the last 1-2 corners before the start-finish line when chasing down Vettel, if he would have kept it tight he would have overtaken Vettel 3 laps earlier. Then he would have a good chance to chase Charles hard.

Well anyway, happy for the red car, especially for Charles to get his dues paid.

I think Merc genuinely wanted to pit Hamilton early, but as Vettel the man in front of him chose to pit as early, Merc have to go for the reverse strategy => pit dead late. That's why FIA should not and cannot stop this kind of strategy call.

Not easy for Lewis, given the red car straight line speed advantage, even if Lewis manage to overtake he would be easily overtaken back.

So I reckon Mercedes had really no answer to Ferrari in the Italian GP.

Always the most boring race of the season, very furious why Sepang GP could not make good money but this bloody boring Singapore could make it for so many years.

Ferrari very naive by thinking that CL as the pole starter can give the slipstream to Lewis or Seb of his choice. So by giving the slipstream to Seb, and Seb gained the position he shouldn't have they ordered Seb to give back position.

Truth is, as the lead car someone at his back always get the slipstream behind him, either his teammate or his rival Lewis. He can't choose as if he is shopping in hypermart. When someone at slipstream, there is always a chance to overtake at the end of turn 2.

Just like many years ago Nico Rosberg almost overtake Lewis starting at P2, then only lock his brake at the end of turn 2.

Ferrari engineers should just let them race and shut up, so long as the team secure 1 & 2 what is there to complain. Don't understand all these fuss.

On the other hand Mercedes is always very close to Ferrari in race trim, meaning with more fuel load. But on light fuel load, on the softest tyre the red cars are so much faster. So the strategy of Merc was superb at Sochi as they chose to start with the medium, then bolt on soft on 2nd stint to catch Ferrari

I watched news last night, the final decision is that the Race will go on, but the organiser will not sell tickets to open public. Means only some exclusive ppl get to watch the race.

How the hxll Albon got behind Vettel now, I thought he overtook the 1sr Ferrari of LEC 30 min ago ?!

I regard this as strategy error of Mercedes, they should have fitted Bottas with hard compound tyre in the second pit stop instead of medium. That way he would have a chance of slowly creep up to Max's tail. And have >20 laps to try overtake.

emm... will it be a more exciting rate this weekend at Silverstone ?

Ha, NR (at his best) is only slightly better VB (current moment). He had to resist from having sex with wife to beat LH in 2016, and he need LH to have bad luck with DNF to achieve that. So, no respect to him actually
