i start porting out from umobile on wednesday but until now still havent receive the good bye msg and umobile line still active
customer service told me it shall be done within 24 hours but after the time frame passed, they told me to wait for 3-5 working days

i thought mnp is fast these days? or just umobile try to delay and retain customer?
anyone port out from umobile recently can share your experience?

Did you get your port out done successfully after that?
I’m facing the exact same problem now. At first Umbile asked me to restart my phone, then wait for one hour, then telling me that standard SLA is 3-5 days so I should wait. This is informed by their Customer Support Supervisor Izzat.

Last time I did port out, it took less than half a day. Now both Umobile & Maxis asked me to wait and reply message because they cannot do anything as the port out is in progress. Problem is I don’t receive the messgae and this is the 4th day already.

it's easy to check, first ask donor telco whether request sent. if yes, then call the receiving telco if they have received the request from donor telco. from there you know who to ask.

I'm porting out, from UMobile to Maxis, coz UMobile become shittier by days and I can't cope with the shits. Such shit as line suddenly gone (zero), Internet line putus2, I'm living in Klang Valley for god sake. It was good 2 years before, did love it. Already 1 day since reply YES to leave Umobile, and UMobile line still active. rclxub.gif

I know it may sound ridiculous but sometimes 2 lines can be active at the same time. Happened to me before. Try your Maxis line. It might be active.

never ever insert the new telco before your old sim card goes out of service. otherwise there may be many repercussions.

as for dazbone case, usually your line should go out of service soon after the dateline to reply YES. otherwise, u should call up umobile to ask if ur request has been rejected.

I had experienced from YES 4G telco. Wanted to Port into Hotlink.
Each time I request port out, Yes will delay the Port out SMS

Example:
Supposed to reply port out request by 4pm (within 2 hours time frame even), but however the SMS came at 5pm, rendering invalid.
I complained to YES before and they admit they had an issue, and after that it was rectified.
Managed to get the proper SMS on time, and ported out.

Shit happens sometimes. You need to follow up with Umobile.

I also facing this problem, YES 4g telco port into hotlink.
Yes voice call fail, only able to contact them by email.
Port out request 3 times already still not receive any Yes or No sms.
Yes CS told me passing my problem to relevant department, after that reply they facing technical issue.
Call hotlink ask chinese girl to resubmit my port in request, girl reply me to visit maxis centre again.
Call hotlink the other day a chinese boy said he only solve website mnp issue.
Call hotlink cs again choose malay language, talk to me politely that my YES telco inactive right now(i was calling by YES telco right now)
I complaint mcmc skmm there. They said that they didn't receive any port out request, they ask me to submit port in request in other telco in order to process.
1week past already nothing resolve. Today Yescare cs said their relevant team already fix my port out issue. Kindly resubmit port out request again.
I visit maxis and resubmit again, only god know this time success or not.
Port in Yes very fast and easy. But port out Yes lots of shit happening.
Anybody want to port in YES telco think twice and twice.

YES worst telco in Malaysia.

That first Chinese CS girl from Hotlink shouldnt had ask you to visit Maxis Centre to resubmit port in request. They can resubmit the port in request on their side.
Guess you were unlucky abit to get (maybe) a new CS staff which dont know anything.

As for YES - Actually I liased with them via chat (in the App) and also via hotline .
I thought YES already resolved their Port out issue, looks like it happened again.

Port out request usually within 24 hours ,if no issue, can get the SMS.
Again I have mentioned this before - If it wasnt for their very poor indoor coverage , I would had stayed with them.

I too notice UMobile these days the signal is kind off bad vs last year where i ported in. Many times at higher floor 20th onwards, there is no signal or only E as for maxis or digi at least it has 2 bar 4G. In fact Umobile around klang valley has quite number of weak 4G signal where today i was at Sunway geo there is no 4G at all..

It was YES telco busy tricking customer all the time.
Really thanks to azhar75 who reply my post to port out successfully.
Those chinese cs lazy to serve customer.
After request port in at maxis, you must keep reply YES to 018-3301122 to receive your sms confirmation. Reply Yes word second time to port out successfully.
