Just a small tips for people who are doing the x-clamps on their own,
Please make sure that the heatsink is superbly HOT after you finish the operation. If the heatsink is just warm then you may have put too much of thermal paste resulting in the heat not reaching the heatsinks. |

any sifu can enlighten me abit. after removing the x-clamp, did you guys run the console for 2 minutes without the heatsink? according to the LAWDAWG0931 method, this will repair the solder. this is for console already hit by 3ROD.

QUOTE(cylon @ Apr 26 2007, 12:39 PM) Original clamp was screwed to metal plate. Non drilling method will secure both heatsinks but u wont be able to screw it to the metal plate, and as such it was't really secured. This particularly true if u wanna put the console on a vertical position, since there's nothing to "hold" the motherboard to the back plate. so the best way to place the revived x360 is horizontal right?? |

QUOTE(elvin828 @ Apr 26 2007, 10:20 PM) tell you truth boss, no matter you place vertical or horizontal very hard to "prevent the 3Rods" want la..you ask the survivor... how good they take care the console... In The End MS Plays the "Smack That" song but as for good air flow... vertical is the best la |
