QUOTE(alkt @ Apr 26 2007, 12:30 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « actually the process is simple but u gotta concentrate while doing it. an extra hand would be better breakdown of the tools needed: 8 screws and 16 nylon washer, artic silver, Screw driver T10 and T8 and any alcohol that is able to remove the Artic Silver. for price of screws i'm sure u dun need them, they're cheap QUOTE(alkt @ Apr 26 2007, 12:31 AM) another 2 new survivors... bro alkt and jaylikeThis post has been edited by judge-the: Apr 26 2007, 09:08 AM |

well, the overall process is so darn easy like virgil mentioned b4... dumb@$$es like me and alkt also can done it
you can refer to the pictures that alkt posted and you will know how to do it yourself. two 3rod consoles took me 2hours to fix it. the mos taking time part where u need to clean overloaded thermal paste, we used the artic thermal cleaner so it can clean out all the residue of the thermal paste around the small component around the cpu. as for screws n washer, if you guys really interested to do it yourself or if you wan my assist.... you can pm me so that i can tell you all how much it cost in total for everything. don't want to post the price here coz it will definitely causing somebody losing his business here. at last but not least, we are doing this for the 360 Community so that everyone no worries of buying 360s and the community can grow n shine!!! edit: and ya, need to recorrect something from alkt's post the procedure of placing the washer n screws is like this screw -> metal washer /nylon washer -> mother board -> nylon washer -> heatsink This post has been edited by jaylike7: Apr 26 2007, 01:21 AM |

well,
can we make another thread for tutorial of how to revive the 3rod 360s? since the pics alkt posted is very useful for ppl to try on and it is not good to have it in few pages behind in this thread. @Ganaz-x, no need so ganaz until using the drilling method as it needs more time n work to accomplish. all you need to do is just getting the right screws n washers...again, if you interest to do it yourself, PM me n i will give out the recipe.. |

hey guys should have added this sooner but my internet is no more and im using my college's computer.......
Let me tell you guys a short story... I went to KLCC at 12:15 pm had a light lunch at the Delifrance Bisto i lugged something very precious with me during that time...my first xbox 360..the one i bought in June of 2006...as some of you may know i bought another 360 a couple months later...but i was very very maniacal about getting my first 360 fixed...anyway back to the story, i got up and proceeded out of KLCC and proceeded outside of the Petronas Towers....there i waited for a while and saw different hardworking individuals taking their cigarette breaks...about ten minutes later.... I sent a SMS to bossman tot31....he said he will meet me at the lobby...i finally saw him face to face....a real friendly person....he then took my heavy 360 away from me and i went to finish off my time at KLCC in Kino.... I cam home soon afterwards and at three o'clock i played my 360...(alone Then fastfoward to 8pm...i was watching one of myfavourite movies "The Big Red One" on Astro.....then my phone went TEET TEET !!!!! ----1 MESSAGE RECEIVED---- It was from tot31.....he had some news...and it wasnt good news.... IT WAS BRILLIANT NEWS!!!!!!!! My 360 was revived and bossman tot31 was stress tesiting it!!! So Silencer add another survivor to that list!!!1 Musch respects TOT31!!! QUOTE(ganaz-x @ Apr 26 2007, 01:18 AM) Great tutorial. Should pin it! Original clamp was screwed to metal plate. Non drilling method will secure both heatsinks but u wont be able to screw it to the metal plate, and as such it was't really secured. This particularly true if u wanna put the console on a vertical position, since there's nothing to "hold" the motherboard to the back plate.By the way, another method is where u are required to drill the casing. Can anybody kind enough to explain why? |
