I booked my 1.8 last month......meaning no hope to get this year?
*
Highly unlikely to get it this year for the Tenaga Setia PJ branch. That was what the SA said.

Last month I asked MOFAZ Honda they said 1.8 got ready stock, but their rebate is not as good.

Kinda depends on your luck. Crossed fingers~

Hi guys,

Before Civic FC, I had a MyVi first gen and to service/repair the aircon, the foreman had to take off the dashboard.

FC no need og through same thing like MyVi, right?

1.8S owner here.

Thanks,

Just called my SA....he said my 1.8 is secured for December delivery. But for new booking, they can't guarantee for it to be delivered this year

Anyone has replaced their Civic's battery? Mine less than 1.5yr old and during my recent service, they told me the battery charge level is weak and replace. Its 59%. They use Panasonic battery which cost RM290. Does ppl here use the Honda's Panasonic battery or got outside to change for around RM200? Does changing of the battery reset some electronics and its better to change at SC or its ok just change outside to save money? Your thoughts and experience pls.

1.5 yr consider good. Mine dead in 1 year 1 month. Changed new in SC 280+. RM 200 outside? impossible la.. unless is City battery. Civic bigger battery outside also need 240-260. Not much diff better change at SC to avoid warranty issue. No reset i think. Mine all the settings still there after changed.

Sharing tricks for by pass HU, hope i'm not too late, this trick was already on civicx forum since June. No Y-cable installation required. No rooting android required. Reversible. (Note i have not test all the function yet but it looks promising, as always do it at your own risk)
No pic for guidance try to use your imagination  laugh.gif  I won't be explaining every detail but here it goes:
Step 1: Go to HU android browser

Step 2: Clear the browser address and enter exact following input without the quotes "about:debug" then press go (nothing will happen first, it's intended)

Step 3: Clear the browser address again and this time enter exact exact following input without the quote "file///" then press go
(by now you should see file menus)

Step 4: In the file menu navigate to vendor>app> then search for something like 'whiteListService.apk' and tap it. (Warning: do no tap on any other files or apk, i do not know what will happen but be warn)
It will ask for installation, allow it and tap the install button, then it will prompt installation failed, nevermind that is also intended.

Last Step: Hold power button and restart the HU. Now try and see by pass is working or not, play movie, browse picture..etc

I've tested the "by pass". It works for HU default browser and calculator and setting is enable even when vehicle is moving but i haven't got the chance to test the hdmi mirror link yet.
I'm going to try that on CR-V it should be the same.

Well, as for more tech savvy guys, u should have guessed by the name whiteListServiceApk, this is how honda does restriction for our HU. It is better than rooting, just alter the whitelist.xml will work as intended. Personally i have not tested it yet but people in civicx sort of confirm this approach worked for installing external apk.

It's proven and tested it without any issue?
Appreciate if somemore managed to done it and comment here?
SackBoy u r done it?

Just paid booking fee for 1.5TC at PJ Honda Showroom. Very nice SA and rebate as well!

ETA would be early December. Can't decide whether or not to opt for White or Lunar Silver.

Anyhow, any suggestion for body coating services for the Civic?

Hi Guys, any of you encounter this engine check problem with your car.
I have informed honda service center about this and they said got one cable was unplugged underneath the engine and they reset the ecu as well.
Guess what, the problem still continues. Now i have to restart my car around 10 times a day to go my destinations.
Once the engine check indication starts appearing, car start jerking, gear also not shifting properly..
Just 8 months car.... rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Hi everyone. Can anyone suggest where to send my car for body repair and paint. My left rear door dented and paint peel off. Accidentally hit a wall when going out from a parking lot.
