I drove from JB - KL - JB over the weekend

Mileage: 660.2KM
Fuel: 36.13L
Fuel Consumption: 18.27KM/L
Fuel Brand: Shell V-Power 97
City Driving %: Around 12%, Highway 88%

Assuming I continue onwards, I could get around 850KM of distance on a full tank of petrol smile.gif

TCP? me on 80% highway drove 150-180km/h from Shah Alam to Kuala Terengganu only got around 450-500km only for 1.8  sweat.gif

TCP, and I drove between 110-130 at highways. Mostly it’s 115-120. 1.8 is not as fuel efficient as the 1.5 at constant highway speeds.

A little off topic, about type-R. Anyone acquire price for the car & is it limited.
ps:from reliable source of course?
*
From what I heard, the tentative price is RM300k, but actually if comparing to the old Type-R, the price is around RM250k. My money is on RM250k rather than RM300k. It’s a nice car though. Saw the car at the Sepang Circuit last weekend.

Drove to Terrenganu and back over the weekend. Refueled art the BHP just after the Karak entry. Managed to last the entire trip and back, which was 713 km. Cost me 39.6 litres of fuel. Could've been better but was stuck in a bit of traffic in Kuantan.

1.5TC.

Guys I know this has been asked many times. So sorry for asking again but I couldn’t find the thread with information on service.

My car has another 1000km to go for Service A and is currently at 7000km mileage. So I should be sending the car in at around 8000km for service A. So I should be able to combine the 10k km service as well right? If I combine, what would be the next service?

Or can anyone send the link for the thread with the service information. Thank you.

Look under Post #1, FAQ: How does the Maintenance Minder system work on the 1.5TC engines?

Please all newbies, just read the FAQ and some of Post #3 for most relevant information. Most of all your questions has already been answered.

QUOTE(Scarfe @ Oct 7 2017, 06:56 PM)
during routine servicing, do you guys pay for.
1) Engine oil treatment (RM52.26) - to clean engine area
2) Engine Cleaner (RM37.84) - to clean fuel area

When I asked the service guy, he said this is optional, good to do. If perform both, the cost will be inflated by 30%.
If go through the manual, these 2 items are not mentioned.
I just wonder if it is necessary?
*
All of these are snakeoil... extra income to them. Your engine oil and fuel already have treatments and cleaners in them. As long as you drive, fuel up at respectable brands’ fuel station, change your engine oil when it’s time, you don’t need all those extras.

Can you list a few 'respectable' refueling station? Which brand? Aren't they all the same? 🤔
*
Exactly what I meant 🤣 by law, all fuel companies need to add in a certain amount of additives and engine cleaners.

any cleaner or method to keep direct injection engime intake valve clean clean all the way?
because got no port injection to spray the fuel to clean the backside valve area...like what GT86 or camry 2.0 engine use both port and direct injection
*
None. AFAIK, need to do services such as Walnut Blasting if really dirty. Some use oil catch can of course.

Eh I thought the driver side is master... the left side mixes ambient from outside right?
*
Driver side and passenger side can set different temperatures for TC-P. Rear passengers follow the passenger side temp (somebody told me this, can't confirm though...) I'm guessing the fan speed is the same, only the air temperature coming out from the blower is different.

Cabin temperature will be a amalgamation of both smile.gif

then become year end car already. further discount?
*
Need to bug dealer for discount smile.gif People would usually avoid buying end of the year - unless got big discount. RM5-6k considered as normal discount now, need to request more for end of the year cars imho.

Even if you buy early in the year, need to confirm with dealer whether it's last year car (Most discount), or new year car (less discount). Not when the car is registered, but when the car was manufactured.

Anyone tried plugging a portable hdd? Does it work? I read anything u plug into the car for songs needs to be formatted with FAT32? Does high volume pen drive (not those lame China made but a branded tested high cap) works like 1TB volume pe drive?

Thx sifus
*
Even though possible to use HDD, I’d still recommend use pendrive - no moving parts. If hard disk, the daily spin up and sudden power loss when turning off the car will kill the hard disk quick.

Pen drive I tried only up to 64GB. 1TB pendrive will be crazy expensive which makes me wonder if you can afford 1TB pendrive, why you buy Civic laugh.gif

Honda stockist or service center.

Worth to buy now if order place now and car come at December , for 7k+ discount?
*
Really it's your call tongue.gif to me the normal discount is already about 5k-6k. If you're ok with just an additional 1-2k discount for a year end car, then it's ok la. To me I'd rather wait for a new year car.
