TBH, Milner took the penalty pretty good, kudos to the keeper for choosing the correct direction.
I would still want Milner to be our main penalty taker.

QUOTE(8sg9ft @ Nov 2 2017, 10:03 AM) Beating Sevilla doesn't guarantee top spot yet if Spartak win against Maribor. CL head-to-head still a priority over goal difference Dont think top spot makes that much of difference, with RMadrid, Juve, Bayern all potentially finishing second. We are definitely going to bump into the so-called elites sometimes soon, IF we do make the KO round. If we are gonna just get knocked out, the sooner the better IMO, so that we can focus on the league, especially as we are not really lucky with injuries this season.p/s: not replying to u only, but since yours is the last, so yeah |

QUOTE(genjo @ Nov 2 2017, 01:22 PM) We all HOPE for the same thing, as unlikely as it may be. But to do that, we definitely would have to dump out an elite club or two on the way, so it really doesnt matter to me if we finish 1st or 2nd in the group as long as we make it. It's also far more proud to be knocked out by an elite than a Besiktas or Porto |

And then Keita scores a winner in the 2nd leg to put RBL through. Lol |

Come on man, we should be aiming to go as far as we can in CL, we don’t want to do a Brendan 2.0 in the most prestigious European league so that we can focus on league.( just to qualify for CL)p/s: not replying to u only, but since yours is the last, so yeah See the death circle there? If the squad is too thin to compete simultaneously , then yea it is the managers and the freaking owners problem. This post has been edited by carloz28: Nov 2 2017, 05:57 PM |

What I meant was that if we're unable to get past any of the decent team the competition puts up, then it just doesnt matter if we get 1st or 2nd in the group stage because sooner or later we are going to get one of those teams. By focusing on the league, i didnt actually mean doing an Arsenal - knocked out at R16, finding form in the league to eventually finish 4th; instead i mean fighting for the title, which seems improbably considering our lame start...See the death circle there? If the squad is too thin to compete simultaneously , then yea it is the managers and the freaking owners problem. No doubt we are Arsenal 2.0 in the making - just need what i mentioned to happen to confirm that, for that definitely our Wenger & Kroenke have to be blamed. |

We used to be really good against top teams and crap against smaller teams. Heck, now it's hard to tell.p/s: not replying to u only, but since yours is the last, so yeah Good win nonetheless yesterday. Looks like Maribor is just happy to be at Anfield, it was all smiles for Handanovic after the game lol. We really need Sturridge to get more games and seriously, Trent can play well, I hope he get more time too. |

Pretty easy to tell - we are consistently inconsistent. The fact that our best players are inconsistent lots is saying that loud and clear. Good win nonetheless yesterday. Looks like Maribor is just happy to be at Anfield, it was all smiles for Handanovic after the game lol. We really need Sturridge to get more games and seriously, Trent can play well, I hope he get more time too. After crushed at home, 3-0 isnt a bad away result i guess. We know what Sturridge was capable of, but is he still capable of that, is the question he must answer. Trent is certainly a better attacking outlet than even Clyne is, but still quite naive defensively, definitely would get many game times this season. |

Lol, Real Madrid lost only 2 games on the trot but pundits are already talking about possible ‘crisis’ in the team.
That just goes to show how good RM is. The expectation from fans is so big yet burdening at times, that they are expected to win every game they play. Meanwhile at Liverpool, if the team loses 3 games on a trot, there is nothing shocking about it. Just a normal day for us, the fans. When Liverpool attain Madrid’s level of expectation, that’s when u know the team is really flying. Until then, FSG Out! This post has been edited by carloz28: Nov 3 2017, 07:41 AM |

If Origi join Wolfburg for permanent deal, it would be loss for Liverpool. I always thought he can score some goals for Liverpool.

Nope, nowhere near good enough at the moment. The fact that Solanke who is even more unproven at this level replaces him (on the bench) shows that.https://fotzone.com/2017/11/03/wolfsburg-in...gi-permanently/ Doesnt look like he could improve tremendously as a striker. I could eat my own words someday, tough. |

Klopp's pre-match press conference vs West Ham:
Coutinho not fit for West Ham, Wijnaldum in pain but could play. QUOTE “Phil is not available,” Klopp said. “With the rest it will be close. Gini, not sure. We have to see. It is painful what he has but maybe he can cope. “Dejan, yes maybe is the clearing session, and then we will know. We have to wait until the last second this week, to see if he can make the squad or the line up. “Adam (Lallana) will start to train with the team next week, have two proper training weeks then he will be available.” On Clyne QUOTE "He was on a good way, but he has had a setback," he confirmed. "That's how the back is. We are on it, but it needs to be 100 per cent. "We have shown it to specialists all over the world. It is not a big problem, but it needs time. That's how it is." Mane may be ready for 20-25 minutes. QUOTE “Sadio trained yesterday for the first time with the team,” Klopp told his pre-match press conference. “He looked really good. We will see what we will do. “He looks like he is ready for 20-25 minutes, but we have to see how his body reacts to the session. “Yes it was the first session he has had in a while, but he didn't lose his football skills and ability while he was injured!” Can’s contract not a concern for Klopp. QUOTE “There is nothing new. I have said a few times, it’s our job to make this club as exciting as possible. He is allowed to sign a contract in May.. as long as Emre doesn’t give me one sign his mind is somewhere else then I don’t have to talk about this.” Mane could play for Senegal during the international break. If there is a player out there whose contract is ending then we should try to to the same. It’s a big opportunity. I cannot say it is a big problem, put pressure on the player and the club. “We have to accept even an ending contract. There are two sides who could have done different. One is the club, the other is the player. It is a normal situation.” QUOTE “We cannot sit here and ignore the situation of Senegal,” he said. “We have been in contact with the Senegal FA. “Sadio is not injured any more, but is he 100% fit? That's different. And when you see him training, you think 'OK, he could be ready to play' “FIFA doesn’t give you the opportunity to decide who plays for countries. We respect the rules. “Training is different and I would love to have more influence. "If Senegal get the point they need in first game then ideal situation would be that he doesn't play the second game. "If Sadio can play for Senegal then I think he should as it will be good for him to get some rhythm, having had two breaks this season with the red card and the injury." Klopp praises Gomez after England call - says Sturridge and Oxlade-Chamberlain could both play. QUOTE “Nice huh? Yesterday we heard about Joe.. but we heard at the same time that Sturridge and AOC are not in. You cannot celebrate one with the other. “Joe deserves it. He is a wonderful young player. He has made big steps. He is ready for this.” On Moreno Call up to Spain squad QUOTE That’s really nice. He deserves it. It’s quite difficult to get a call from the Spanish national team. They don’t have a lot of weaknesses.” |

I dont mind eating the words together with you. Because IMO he will never be top class, best would improve to be a good striker in mid and low table team, and nowhere good enough for top team.Doesnt look like he could improve tremendously as a striker. I could eat my own words someday, tough. Unless people thinks by scoring important goal once a while is good enough for us then i will be speechless. Still I hope he will achieve much more. |

QUOTE The Reds are said to have a strict wage structure that caps non-marquee players at a weekly salary of £75,000. The player's representatives are, however, alleged to be holding out for a figure closer to the £160,000 written into star player Philippe Coutinho's contract. http://www.90min.com/posts/5756770-emre-ca...urk?a_aid=35370 Is he worth for 160k salary ? |
