TBH, Milner took the penalty pretty good, kudos to the keeper for choosing the correct direction.

I would still want Milner to be our main penalty taker.

Dont think top spot makes that much of difference, with RMadrid, Juve, Bayern all potentially finishing second. We are definitely going to bump into the so-called elites sometimes soon, IF we do make the KO round. If we are gonna just get knocked out, the sooner the better IMO, so that we can focus on the league, especially as we are not really lucky with injuries this season.

But to do that, we definitely would have to dump out an elite club or two on the way, so it really doesnt matter to me if we finish 1st or 2nd in the group as long as we make it. It's also far more proud to be knocked out by an elite than a Besiktas or Porto

Yes, aiming and hoping to go deep, and dare I say it - win the thing, definitely. What I meant was that if we're unable to get past any of the decent team the competition puts up, then it just doesnt matter if we get 1st or 2nd in the group stage because sooner or later we are going to get one of those teams. By focusing on the league, i didnt actually mean doing an Arsenal - knocked out at R16, finding form in the league to eventually finish 4th; instead i mean fighting for the title, which seems improbably considering our lame start...

No doubt we are Arsenal 2.0 in the making - just need what i mentioned to happen to confirm that, for that definitely our Wenger & Kroenke have to be blamed.

We know what Sturridge was capable of, but is he still capable of that, is the question he must answer. Trent is certainly a better attacking outlet than even Clyne is, but still quite naive defensively, definitely would get many game times this season.

That just goes to show how good RM is. The expectation from fans is so big yet burdening at times, that they are expected to win every game they play.

Meanwhile at Liverpool, if the team loses 3 games on a trot, there is nothing shocking about it. Just a normal day for us, the fans. When Liverpool attain Madrid’s level of expectation, that’s when u know the team is really flying.
