I use Samsung pay but I don't have Maybank visa card I only have the mastercard, is there anyway to change to visa from my Master gold card?

Hi guys, im very new to this particular "topic"

in the first thread there is something about the 5% o.o?
is it something like cash rebate 5%? does it apply for debit card user?
are we encourage to shop / pay bill / pay ptptn during weekend?

(i was trying to digest the info by myself, but the words cant get into my brain sad.gif)


and then i would like to ask one last question
let's say the merchant does not provide installment payment
is it possible that i pay first then request the installment from maybank instead of from the seller ?

1. Yes, all spending during weekends entitled 5% cash rebate, but capped RM 50 per month, means maximum RM 1000 of spending.
2. You can apply Ezypay through m2u, but there is some interest applied. Encouraged to check with bank or their website.

Anyone with similar experience knows if I can make an advance payment to purchase something which cost more than my given credit limit on my Maybank credit card?

Example
Credit Limit: 10000
Interbank Transfer: 10000

When I do the interbank transfer, will my available credit be at 20000 in this scenario? I know some banks will just park the advance/excess payment under the card’s balance which makes it a negative balance but does not increase the available credit.

To be clear, 5% cash back only apply to the AMEX Card from M2Card (Gold/Plat) and only weekends.
the VISA or Master Card which come with M2Card will only earn points and no cash back

Maybank does increase your limit. Just don't transfer using intrabank transfer. smile.gif

got one T&C mention : Bill Payment via JomPAY is not eligible for TreatsPoints.

Since AMEX Can't Use, even use VISA/MC also no point.

Better use other card

Annoying how I can't use AMEX with samsung pay. I guess I should sacrifice some TP to get some entries for this by using my debit card.

if u know how samsung pay works, you wouldnt have tried using Amex.

it only accepts visa. even the T&C mentioned it "Valid for Samsung Pay transactions made by Maybank/Maybank Islamic Visa Credit, Debit or Prepaid Cards only."

have you tried using cimb cr, paying jompay and gotten 0.2% cb?

seems like jompay is using mcc 9399, which will not be granted cb.

For Samsung Pay, only Visa from MBB is supported even though SPM supports both Visa and Mastercard.

Too bad that my credit card from MBB is Ikhwan Mastercard. Cannot participate for this. Otherwise, I think that I have decent chance of winning something out of it! LOL
