that's good. but no harm to redeem earlier since the later redemption catelog cannot be lower points than the current unless it is during treat fair. but i cannot attend the treat fair most of the time so the on the spot redemption of rm100 vouchers is actually very good enough. tongue.gif

Gonna go card center redeem the voucher only worth, by the way i also just redeem aeon voucher.... then spend it 100% within 30 minutes biggrin.gif whistling.gif

No. Only for M2Cards Gold/Plat credit cards.
*
To be clear, 5% cash back only apply to the AMEX Card from M2Card (Gold/Plat) and only weekends.
the VISA or Master Card which come with M2Card will only earn points and no cash back

Also not all JomPay accepts credit card as payment.

GE doesn't, this is screenshot from JomPay.

Also keep in mind Jompay at Maybank2U
got one T&C mention : Bill Payment via JomPAY is not eligible for TreatsPoints.

Since AMEX Can't Use, even use VISA/MC also no point.

Better use other card
Example : CIMB Cash Rebate CC on Cimbclicks's Jompay (you will earn 0.2% CB)

Public Bank Quantum Master Card i not sure.... anyone tried before ?

Should be rm2 + 5% + 5tp smile.gif
If not mistaken enrolled autopay. Before statement date pay using AMEX during weekend (the remaining balance must more than rm20 - requirement for the rm2 rebate).
*
If i not wrong, they using below tricks to get RM2 + 5% + 5XTP

1) Enroll Unifi auto Pay via TM.
2) Before the statement date (or before the system charge AMEX Card) , find a weekend pay the amount (not full amount but left RM20 balance)

Example : Each month bill RM158 , Pay RM138 at a weekend before the statement date (balance RM20 let it pay by autopay)

From here, the RM138 will get 5% CB while the balance RM20 will get RM2 Rebate from TM and total amount RM138+RM20 will get 5X TP.

am i correct ?

I received my cards last week but got visa plat not mastercard!
Are there any difference since everyone is receiving mastercard.
*
Mine is AMEX + VISA blink.gif

apply via ringgit plus. ( I never mention want Visa or MC at all)
However, no matter VISA or MasterCard, this card only earn 1X TP ...
mostly use to pay insurance or keep in drawer..... laugh.gif

Now got FCB CC , i transfer my insurance to that card liow....
so this visa is sleeping in drawer unless i utilize the FCB CB and the place not accept AMEX.

1X TP = 0.25% CB (based on Aeon voucher RM100 = 40000 TP calculation)

if other card, only offer 0.2% (for other item) , then this card can be eject from drawer to earn 0.25% CB

Dear AMEX Sifu ,

Got a question in my mind since i get my AMEX Card and after i saw in 1st page where

PAYPAL Rule of thumb:
PAYPAL + Amex + RM = no go
PAYPAL + Amex + foreign currency = good to go

Question : Why ? RM no go and Foreign currency good to go ?
can anybody explain this more details ?
is this apply also for online purchase which charge foreign currency too (beside paypal)

and if go overseas , should i use AMEX or other CC ?

Thanks

Simple. PayPal doesn't allow you to pay MYR stuff with your PayPal linked AmEx account, only Visa and MasterCard are allowed.
*
Oic... no wonder i can't pay Canteen 19's bill in RM via ipay88 --> Paypal when i link and pay via my AMEX to Paypal (coz after click nothing come out) doh.gif doh.gif

By the way ,how about paying online purchase that bill in foreign currency and using AMEX during oversea trip ? is it recommend ? or should use visa/mc instead ?

I always use AmEx, make sure to spend on weekends for cash back to make up for currency exchange rate.
However, gotta take note on the time zone difference if purchase online. Usually Saturday's night is the safest for weekends overseas purchases.
*
Oic, thanks for the info.

How about the exchange rate , fee and so on ?

I do not know the exact rate and I know AmEx is higher than Visa and MasterCard. I don't usually bother so much of this.
*
ic ic , since weekend cash back can cover then is ok la...
But too bad mostly i spend during oversea is weekday, that's the problem.

i remember last time read some forum mention about AMEX did charge higher exchange rate + fee compare visa and master but forget how many % as is long time ago.

After see 1st page i was confuse as i always purchase online in RM.
Got few time plan to purchase online in Foreign Currency using AMEX, but worry about the exchange rate + fee, at the end use visa / MC to pay...

Hi Guys, wanna ask, did you guys experience that the Cash Back for AMEX for Weekend usage was missing few cents ?

Example like Nov month my CB suppose to be RM10.54 but system give RM10.53,
Dec month CB suppose to be RM50 but system give RM49.96 ??

i found out each month also like that
sometimes missing 1 cent, sometimes 4 cent .... wired calculation.

Unless i use above RM1000 then sure get full RM50 CB.

Round down for each transaction.
*
You are right, the calculation is based on EACH transactions on weekend x 5%
then add up all weekend 5% CB for that month.

not by total up all weekend spending x 5% . doh.gif my mistake

Mastercard. 1st time tried at TGV not functioning. Will try with other shops and see.

Most of the terminal i go is visa paywave and of course mastercard is not working when you wave it.
Unless the terminal got label master paypass.

AMEX confirm don't have paywave function.

So far most of the McDonalds's that i visit is using PayWave Visa.
