Im getting this, 8 Plus on iOS 11.1. Is it normal? And i only use LTE all the time. Because i see many people get minimum 9 hours of usage. Im worried that my battery is defect
*
if you worry can always go machines to do the basic examination and they can check the health cycle of your battery on the spot for free. can't answer whether is your battery usage normal or not cause different people use their device differently. but from what i see is normal la cause FB really do consume battery much, and u did some gaming as well. i8+ indeed having a good battery life but not until god like level can last more than 1 day haha. so no need to worry about it.

First battery life status of my new iPhone 8 plus:
Usage = 6h 38m
Standby = 25h 5m

32% left (not in low power mode)

Should I charge my phone now?

Yes you can. It's not a good practice to keep draining it down to bare minimum before charging biggrin.gif

Sometimes new battery need to "run-in" before they are able to operate at their optimum. It would just take a few charging to optimise it. How along have you used it? They are some reports of poor battery performance after some iPhone upgraded to iOS 11 but I'm not sure whether it applies to iPhone 8.

How come, but as long as the phone can last for a day, that would be enough already.

i charge my battery intermittently, from 60% to 80%, then when it drop to 40% i charge again to 100%, then drop to 50% i charge it to 70%. Is there any problem with such irregular charge cycle?

I charge like this is because i charge it whenever i am at my desk and just leave the phone on the wireless charger.

absolutely fine. battery for smartphones nowadays doesn't have so many "pantang" or "rules" like those battery for the old generation mobile phones. just try to avoid phone battery drop to 0% before charging.

Acutally the battery life for each phone is different,why because the owners are different.

If one person only use whatsapp,then of course the battery life will be very nice especially the hours use for the battery from 100%.Why? because the iphone may only use the small processor for running the whatsapp.

While if you play a lot of games or watch video,then of course the battery hours will not so beautiful then others,cause the iphone may keep using the main processor for the running.

Remember a lot reason will effect the battery life,some people keep connect wifi,some people keep using 4G/LTE and maybe some people keep connect on low signal 4G then make the iphone keep searching the network.

And one last thing,our iphone 8 and 8 plus using A11 so it have 2 main processor + 4 small processor.So all depend how you using the iphone.

^ totally agreed. if one only use whatsapp & basic function + connect wifi always, this phone might even last for more than 2 days, if with low power mode turned on, might even longer.

1 of the culprit that consume battery is our telco, if the coverage is not good, might lead to our battery consume more.

i concur with this...so there's no fixed benchmark on battery life as everyone uses their phones differently
