I use my Astro ID since Astro GO itself was accessible to non-Astro subscribers.. nearly 4 years ago.

So yes I use that same ID to register as beta user before it was closed for new sign-ups.

Try remove it from "Registered Device" in Settings on your Astro GO app.

easy peasy

astro id that binds to a smartcard decoder (beyond, ultra HD,any decoder that have valid satellite subscription) = you can only use that ID on astro on the go, u won't be able to use that id on the new astro tv app (nearly official name)

beta id, subscription for RM1.06x2 for 2 months trial period = can use the ID on the astro tv app and astro on the go

astro id = can be created anytime, as long have valid access to ic number, smartcard number, account number of a valid astro decoder subscription

beta id = astro open for non astro subscribers few months back by invitation only, however some people can sign up even though they are not invited including me. no longer available for new registration

astro on the go = has been in the market for quite some, is actually for mobile Android (smartphone, tablet), need mouse/touchscreen gesture for navigation

astro tv app = beta, just recently launched, supposed to be only available for beta testers on androidtv sony and sharp tv, cannot install on android mobile OS (AOSP), smartphone, china android box, tablet, all controls are using remote
DPAD and OK button, can't navigate with mouse/touchscreen gesture

hopefully everyone after reading this, don't waster ur time to simply trying to do things that won't work.. i have both astro and beta id therefore i can confirm I have fully tested it on both astro tv app and astro on the go..

if u still want to use the astro tv app, but u only have the astro id, why not cancel the decoder subscription, and wait for the official launch.. as for the beta id, u can sign in on 1 smart/androidtv, and 4 mobile devices..

android tv box (whatever TX3, Tx6, as long as they are not using GOOGLE ANDROIDTV OS) is considered as ANDROID MOBILE..

Hi,

Is there any major difference in performance+picture quality between a Minix Neo U9-H vs TX6 Android Box for AsxxxGo?

I can see that many people suggested Minix is the goto brand for solid performance, and tested working with AsxxxGo.

Based on spec comparison with TX6, seems both also uses OCTA CORE CORTEX A53 CPU (64 bit) / 4K@60Hz . But TX4 offer higher RAM and cheaper.

GPU which one is better performance?

Minix Neo U9-H : Mali-820MP3 GPU
TX6 : Mali-T720

Thanks.

Hardware isn’t everything fam.... The bundled or accompanying software is equally important. Now between both brands? Minix trumps Tanix.. Better devs, cleaner ROM and given past experience, should offer better longer support with stable firmware releases. The latter is mostly for their newer devices, cuz the Minix Neo U9-H is no longer Minix’s latest flagship model (such as the Minix Neo U22-XJ) and so maybe only another year or 2 max of official support?

As for picture quality, unfortunately... I can’t comment about their differences.. need play the same files on both, same screen then I can compare. But safe to say that Minix pq is alright. However, this doesn’t mean that the Tanix TX6 isn’t a powerful box on it on.
