QUOTE(MilitaryMadness @ May 11 2018, 07:27 PM) probably the usual for this penggalprojects that are already in progress would continue.. like the LCS, AV8 n stuff I bet the MiG's replacement gonna delay selection again there's also a possibility that they will dig out the issue about Scorpene and Perimekar again... yer know.. since indirectly also related to Atlantuya, Rosmah... |

To me recently we serve issues like ESSCOM and Spratly island very passively.projects that are already in progress would continue.. like the LCS, AV8 n stuff I bet the MiG's replacement gonna delay selection again there's also a possibility that they will dig out the issue about Scorpene and Perimekar again... yer know.. since indirectly also related to Atlantuya, Rosmah... Can we expect the status quo or maybe we will be a bit more assertive on these issues? As I remember Tun M used to be very bullish on national interest matters and hardly relents on such issues. |

To me recently we serve issues like ESSCOM and Spratly island very passively. probably will be more stern coz during Pulau Batu Puteh issue, Tun M was quite vocal about it..Can we expect the status quo or maybe we will be a bit more assertive on these issues? As I remember Tun M used to be very bullish on national interest matters and hardly relents on such issues. Dunno about ESSCOM tho, but I for one, hope that under this new gov, Polis Marin will be revamped back, they're quite effective in handling those Sabah waters |

I am looking forward to the likes of Tony Pua and Rafizi going over the govt papers. For decades Opposition have no info about defence assessments, contracts etc. Now they have everything they need to make the proper decisions.
Though we are indeed in relatively tough economic times I believe Pakatan will minimise the effect of kickbacks and commissions and that will improve effective defence spending. Its not that the former Opposition was totally against defence spending (though we know there are some pacifist nutcases amongst them). Its just that we know how incredibly corrupt defence acquisition was. QUOTE(azriel @ May 11 2018, 09:44 PM) Ohhh shit This post has been edited by KLboy92: May 12 2018, 01:24 AM |

I hope we can concentrate more on buying off-the-shelf military assets. These custom-requirement assets we are used to having costs way too much. We pay so much for so few assets only.Though we are indeed in relatively tough economic times I believe Pakatan will minimise the effect of kickbacks and commissions and that will improve effective defence spending. There's currently too many middlemen and too much 'agent's fees' being paid out. |

Provided the chiefs of staff are consulted and heeded we are on to a great thing. But then Madey has his own opinion on things |

QUOTE(Fat & Fluffy @ May 13 2018, 10:25 AM) Those are weapons seized from previous police raids. The prisoners took those weapons from the weapons storage after they took over the prison. Ofcourse mistakes have been made by the police. Well this incident reminded me of the Battle of Qala-i-Jangi where there was a Taliban prisoners uprising and took over the compound. 6 killed, dozens wounded in bomb attacks at 3 churches in Indonesia
At least six people were killed and dozens more injured in a wave of blasts including a suicide bombing outside churches in Indonesia's second-biggest city Surabaya on Sunday (May 13), police said, tripling the initial death toll. "There have been three attacks at three churches," East Java Police spokesman Frans Barung Mangera said. ![]() "The victims are being identified," the spokesman added. The deadly blasts all occurred within 10 minutes of each other, police said, with the first explosion at 7.30 am (0030 GMT). Police have only given details of one attack on Santa Maria Catholic Church and there have not yet been any claims of responsibility. "We have confirmed one died at the scene, one died at the hospital, two police officers were injured and there are some civilians injured," Mangera said. "In total 13 people are being treated at the hospital." ![]() Television images showed debris scattered around the entrance of one church and police cordoning off areas as crowds gathered. Authorities were also investigating whether there was an explosion at a fourth church. Police ordered the temporary closure of all churches in Surabaya, and a large food festival in the city was cancelled. The bombings come days after Islamist militant prisoners killed five members of an elite counter-terrorism force during a 36-hour standoff at a high security jail on the outskirts of the capital, Jakarta. ![]() Source: Agencies/mn Read more at https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/asia/6...hes-in-10228924 let us all pray msia will never see such a day |
