I don't know. I think I used to see one in KD but I can't be sure if they are still there.

Anyway I checked online, and it seems like all these sub USD 1K TV are more of less same unless you buy previous year high end model on clearance. HDR or what are basically useless since they dont go above 300 nits. Hence I'm not too worried about picture quality, black levels etc. I will use it in living room which is bright anyway and I don't think it will be worse than my 10 years old plasma. I don't even have Netflix or HBO. Just youtube, Astro most of the time.

There's no more plasma. I needed to replace a 37" secondary tv. Therefore better upgrade main tv and use the plasma tv as secondary tv. I think led lcd has improved a lot compared to those years using ccfl.

The reason I upgrade is because the old tv has a plastic film instead of glass and it turned whitish at the bottom part of the even which blocked the view when not being view from front, on even eye level.

Received my TV and watching it now. So much brighter than my old plasma tv especially when watching esport on YouTube. I think I'm satisfied.

I noticed some tearing with some YouTube playback especially natural motion such as hair movement when wind blowing. Not sure it's the quadcore not powerful enough or just the memc not powerful enough.

Yea, thanks for picture, it's HDR but not full 4k.
Your setting is set to 1440p60 instead of 2160p60 in youtube.
How is picture quality in Dolby Vision ?

Like I said, my old tv is a 10 years old plasma. I dont really have a modern tv to compare to. I think it's great but not as good/pop as those 4-5k panel that I seen before in showroom. Also I have notice judder on certain fast moving part like matrix (on YouTube).

I think they dont do comparison like that. Usually they compare same year model (different brand but within the same category or this year vs last year (same brand and category during release)

TU8500 is not a high end TV. It is this year midrange tv from Samsung with dual LED. Whereas I think X8000 is Sony last year highend model being discounted.

Free to correct me if Im wrong. I have tried looking for comparison too but just couldnt find any.
