There are no new OLED TVs at that price , the best you can find is Panasonic's two years old 55" FZ950K on Lazada 's Chup Dulu for RM4999.
*
any idea how much will a FZ950 65" cost now?

Which one would you choose?

65" Samsung RU8000 or 55" Samsung Q80T?

Both have same price now.

Should i go for Q80T and sacrifice on the size?

Usage is for gaming (current PS4 and future PS5) and movies.
Comparison are as link below

https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/sam...4&threshold=0.1

What's the price of the Q80T?

Here telling you the reason - https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/best/by-type/oled

C9 is color accuracy out of the box. B9 you need to calibrate it.
The scores given by rtings on accuracy is 7.6 (C9) v/s 4.9 (B9)

Beside this C9 had better HDR than B9. Scores given by rtings is 7.3 (C9) v/s 6.4 (B9).

Comparison - https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-...4&threshold=0.1

Most reviewer is recommended C9 over B9 except rtings, probably due to it is must cheaper and rtings is a calibrator pro.

I think Panasonic generally more accurate which may also be related to picture less sharp. Or it's just me.

In showroom, LG picture more grabbing.

Show room 99.99% is loaded with vivid or standard mode. You cannot use it as benchmark.

Panasonic OLED is well known freaking accurate in colour as well but in show room is as vivid as others as well because show room always on with demo mode which is maximum vivid mode.

Would very much like to hear your views on GZ1000 vs C9 vs A8G?

IF you are movie purist , want to get best color accuracy out of box. Get both hdr 10 + & dolby vison format . got best quality of low-bit video streaming content playback performance,  you should chose GZ1000.  If you are heavy gamer, need hdmi 2.1 feature , better chose c9.  I won't choose Sony  a8g  because  Sony dolby vison using  low latency version  not as good as panasonic & LG which had dedicated chips for dolby vison. some more, A8G  only equip with  old  4K HDR Processor X1™ Extreme , not flagship  Processor X1™ultimate. So only HDMI ports 2 & 3 support the full bandwidth of HDMI 2.0.  Unlike the X950G and A9G.
*
Thanks.

I presume you are referring to typical Youtube non-4K PQ will be better on GZ1000. Significant difference?

How popular is the HDR10+?

What about the sound?

Food for thought; get a C9 and hire a calibrator to calibrate it. It'll still be cheaper than a GZ1000 and you'll get much better color accuracy as well.
*
The thing is, they are selling at similar price. In fact, Seng Heng is selling it cheaper. And it's not easy to find a calibrator.

Not easy to find calibrators?  blink.gif
Join the HT MY club on FB. Plenty there.

As for price, isn't it selling RM11,999 on Senheng? The C9 65" is only RM8888 at Best Denki.....
*
couldn't find C9 at that price here. Otherwise, I would get the C9. We are talking about the 65", right?

kkthen already reply you with great answer. smile.gif but I think GZ1000 is some how too expensive. I still prefer C9.

touristking For your another two question.

Sound, get a decent sound system. Most TV sound is not very good even mentioned support Dolby Atmos.

HDR10+ title is very little and no any streaming platform support it.
*
How much would you think is a reasonable price for the GZ1000?

Any Android based tv have google cast built-in
*
So that means all LG and Panasonic wouldn't have it built in? And all Sony do?

I rarely do that, but if needed, you just use phone to type in, get the result, and cast to TV. For example in Youtube.
*
that would mean you have to have Chromecast device. Or a TV with Chromecast built in?

I seen people using the tv remote and the inputting of text is really pain taking. almost dinosaur age.

i am always on cinema or cinema home mode. Vivid mode is very eye candy to my eyes, but i felt tiring after watching it for sometimes. is like feeding u sweets until u sugar rush over rush lol.
*
To my eyes.

Most vivid. Tiring. Samsung LED
Less vivid. LG OLED
Even less vivid, more natural. Panasonic OLED

At cinema setting, LG and Panasonic both oled become closer.

Actually for the moment, not Android OS TV can at least received cast of YouTube and Netflix from your phone over.
This is working for my LG C9 using webOS and also Panasonic EX600K using FireFox TV OS (My Home Screen).
*
What about the Panasonic GZ1000?

Is there a way to install VPN on any of these smart TV? For watching Netflix USA etc.

Or how do you people do it?

I didn't use that,  local Netflix I already can't finish watch. For me it is unnecessary.

I read most people set at router.
*
There are 5000 titles on Netflix USA vs 1000 here. More choices.

Putting VPN on routers slow speed down drastically by 5x for the whole house. So not practical.

Use routers capable of policy-based routing to route your TV traffic over VPN while letting other users/devices connect to the Internet directly, or via another VPN.

I used that to connect my infamous Turkey Netflix account to the USA servers on my nvidia Shield while the the rest of the house connects directly to the Internet.
*
Does that means:
1. You can install VPN in the Nvidia Shield?
2. You no longer using the TV's manufacturer's remote and uses NS?

Thanks

whats the point of these high nits videos (tech demos, test videos, etc)? yes, you can repeat watching these tech demo videos...but in reality, ppl buy good TVs to watch 4K UHD movies, 4K streaming, TV shows, etc, right

no doubt Samsung TVs looks very good..but sometimes overly vivid (which kinda...fake)
*
IMO, generally the most natural looking are the Panasonics, I felt even more so than the Sonys. Which means they are less vivid and often doesn't stands out in a brightly lighted showroom. So many people will ignore the Panasonic and go for the Samsung/LG instead.

Haha its ok la, I still prefer Samsung as the TV stand is higher so i can fit a soundbar. LG one too low.

The low LG base acts as some sort of sound reinforcement. Watch at 3.00
