QUOTE(axoloke @ Oct 3 2017, 04:18 PM) Some initial impressions so far : I'm from Oneplus X too, missed the slider alert so much, double tap to wake up, v to on flashlight, o to on camera, etc...1.) Size is slightly unwieldy but I'm coming from a One Plus X (5 incher) 2.) Lighter than the X and seems to run cooler. Using a Nillkin cover which adds slightly to the weight now. 3.) Having the bug where the Contacts and Whatsapp are duplicating ie. 2 records for the same person when I open up the Dialer. 4.) Screen scrolling is not looking right, sensitive to lag and I can feel it's not smooth enough. Hope future updates will improve it. 5.) A forum member was asking whether we can swap the Back and Recent keys, I'm doing that with an app, Button Mapper. No stock option to do so unfortunately. Maybe will try to root once stable and see if we can directly edit the keymap. 6.) Notification light is white colour only...seriously? How much more would it cost to get a multicoloured one? Dunno why but it feels really annoying, like a nickel and dime decision. 7.) I do miss the X's hardware slider to activate Priority and Silent mode. Useful when I'm working or walking to a meeting etc. 8.) Any way to get a tap or double tap to wake gesture? |

Vibration is a bit soft but I like the way it is.Do you guys notice of that Mi A1 lack of vibration intensity? I used for a few days now. Updated to September security update, unlocked bootloader and rooted. My usual SOT is around 4hrs 30min to 5hrs 30min when it hit 50% battery. The phone is very cool even when gaming, I think this is my first phone that is very comfortable to use for gaming. I've tried to improve things on this phone but one things are clear, there is no camera2 API on it. I tried enabling it but it made all 3rd party apps unable to use any manual feature, no ISO, no shutter speed control. |

Good day fellow Mi A1 users,
Interested to get this but need some clarification with regards with my usage: 1) what's the average SOT for running dual SIM and constantly on 4g? Usage includes - light gaming such as gunbound - mainly WhatsApp, Facebook and social media - web browsing - paired with my Bluetooth earphones about 2-3 hours a day * On stock rom, no tweaks or root or greenify 2) is it dual SIM active, or standby? Thanks in advance! |

I tried Googled but can't find the info, may I know what is "slider alert"?QUOTE(Najmods @ Oct 4 2017, 09:20 PM) Vibration is a bit soft but I like the way it is. I saw there is a "Manual" mode in the camera, doesn't there the shutter speed, ISO control you are looking for? Sorry I'm not very sure, just saw the settings there but never use it, the phone is belongs to my son. I used for a few days now. Updated to September security update, unlocked bootloader and rooted. For this Mi A1, let's say we are having a meeting and want to quickly mute the phone, there is no toggle for Silent or Vibrate right? What's the best way to do these? Thanks! |

QUOTE(marcus_bread @ Oct 5 2017, 09:51 AM) Even the Nokia HMD declared their smartphone 1st one to receive oreo update still not get an update yet. I think it's not really a concern unless every other brand already receive update or it's already pass year 2017. |

If not mistaken, Oreo will come to the A1 by year end as announced during the product launch in India few weeks back. The key thing is not so much the upgrade to Oreo, but more importantly the security updates from Google. |
