Would be perfect if priced at 1000-1100. Decent SOC, gimmicky dual cam, USB-C + headphone jack and the SD expansion is godsend.

I think the most important feature of this A1 is it's software.

The weakness of Xiaomi previously is its MIUI and software updates.

With this A1, you got pure android plus updates until Android P.

Little Pixel Lite... affordable yet reliable... take it as the "Google Nexus Comeback Edition"...

Will be priced slightly higher than local warranty of MI 5x at RM1,299 (64GB)...

what the f-stop for the camera ? it seem they only tease high mp but no f-stop mention...make it kind of fishy

Finally, A Mi phone that ships with stock Android OOTB. No more waiting for Lineage ROM and the unlocking/flashing process. Plus, updates comes straight from Mountain View directly.

Camera IQ with Xiaomi devices is more miss than hit. People go for their devices not for the camera, but more for the design and affordable price point. If you care so much for IQ, better get a flagship model from other brands.

they should have swap the navigation bar to android way (back | home | windows) instead the samsung/xiaomi non standard way...

if the price is rm1000, i will definitely get 1. the timing is just right with my budget.
