Pistons match if nothing out-of-the-ordinary happened (which is very hard to determine in NBA matches).. then Pistons and maybe Jazz is going to win.

Utah Jazz sprung up early this season with a long winning streak but then until the end of the season they stumble along the way.. While the Rockets are going strong day by day (the 1-2 punch *ouch).

Anybody notice AK47 not being too active lately? Wonder if he got some kind of injury hindering him... Last time he used to be one of the top blockers in the NBA but then he got silenced this season... Maybe he got overshadowed by Carlos Boozer and Matt Harping tongue.gif

Pistons and Jazz ftw!

I dont wanna give Rockets an easy victory during the Round 1 playoffs. At least let them struggle for the victory laugh.gif

They are already playing great together since the old days of Houston Rockets. Of course at the beginning Yao was a bit shaky with the speed of the NBA players.. but then he is now one of the most fearsome Centers standing in line with Shaq, Duncan, and other great centers. The fact that he made it into the All-Star team proves how much he is worth.

T-Mac is a team player and he and Yao has gain the chemistry to pull off those 1-2 punches pretty well. This season is the prove of it. If T-Mac did not settle down for injuries, they might as well be better.

Why i said that the Jazz will win the next game because in the playoffs, the teams respond very quickly and in a glance you can see a winning 1st game team trail by 3 games.. Best example will be last season playoffs, Lakers vs Suns. Remember Lakers lost the 1st game but then they catch up to 3-1.

Moreover, Utah Jazz has been playing great and i doubt that they will falter anytime so soon to the Rockets. I am just expecting tough resistance from the Jazz, that is all.

Dallas is goin to win 4-0 definitely. The amount of rest they get is the biggest factor and advantage they have over the GSW. Moreover, they have home court advantage and after their 1st game win, they will continue to pounce the demotivated GSW. Btw, taking their previous meetings into consideration, GS seems to have the advantage. Their past 3 meetings all ended up in a loss for Dallas.

You can call this payback time for the Mavericks, but then the fact that GSW is able to win against them means that they might have knowledge of bypassing the Mavericks.

Talk cock. You talk like u're giving an expert prediction or something. Please la omg. Damn pathetic la. Start by saying "DALLAS IS GOIN TO WIN 4-0 DEFINITELY". Then continue with your statistical analysis la this la that la. Omg man.

GSW won first round, please come here and tell me you are sorry. Say this "Sorry for acting like an expert, grunge."

Previous meetings they (GSW) already won so many times. Dallas 4-0? How could that be possible?!

Leandro Barbosa, among the fastest players in the NBA, ran away with the league's sixth man award Monday.

The "Brazilian Blur" received 101 of a possible 127 first-place votes from a media panel.

First of all.. I am not predicting what is goin to happen next. I am just saying that judging by the advantage the Mavericks have, they should win by 4-0. But then i too account for the feats of the GSW. You can read my post again (what you have said i already account for it), so i dont find any reason to apologize, the one that should apologize for goin on the offensive is you.

Pistons reign over the Magics again... Their 5 regulars all got double figures! Close down one but you cant close them all thumbup.gif

this shows that playoff is really different from the regular match ups. Pistons have tonnes of playoff experience, while majority of magics dont. Dwight Howard isnt played well in this match while his teammates like Grant Hill and Hedo stepped up. They had more experience and veteren thou..

Play Drive to the Finals Now!
Woooooooooooooooooooosah.
If you've seen Bad Boys II, you know what I'm talking about.

You have to take one of those therapeutic deep breaths following the Game 1s that kicked off the 2007 Playoffs.

Now we're getting a better feel on this game we call Drive to the Finals.

Experts'R'Us - my name for the Expert Pick contigent - has rolled with Dwight Howard and Baron Davis thus far. If you stuck with the expert picks, you're doing pretty well so far.

(Just to note, Jon Loomer stole my idea of the Dwight Howard pick. I traded him that pick for a spot in his Fave Five. I figured that was fair.)

You see, this part of the game is intriguing to me. I spent the last month in the Pick One Challenge selecting rookies 60 percent of the time so I could get those double points. Here, though, it's different. You're no longer digging for players and praying they have a big night. The dilemma here is that you've got so many stars to use, but can only use one to use each night. The strategy considerations are compelling. But that's why you have Experts'R'Us at your service.

All right. Let's move on to the expert selection for Monday, April 23. There are only two games - Pistons vs. Magic and Jazz vs. Rockets.

As far as the Magic are concerned, I'm done with them in terms of DTF selections. You've got too many superstars out there to use, and Hedo Turkoglu isn't one of them (He's the second ranked player in terms of PRA on the Magic). You've got to imagine the Pistons will go pretty far in the Playoffs. In other words, they won't lose this series, so you might as well save Chauncey Billups and Co. for later in the Playoffs.

That leaves us with a selection for the Jazz-Rockets series. The selections at this point are so tempting. It's like going into the candy store. How can you honestly choose between a Butterfinger, Heath Bar, and Peanut Butter M&Ms? I mean seriously. You just have to think things through, plan ahead and just go with it.

The problem with this Jazz-Rockets series is that I don't know who will win it. In fact, no one really does. As Bill Fitch said, "If I had a coin, I'd flip it because this one is just too hard to pick." I think the Rockets will pull it out though. Now, I'll have to see how the series progresses, but my opinion with the Rockets winning simply means that I plan on using Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady later in the playoffs.

At this stage in the game, anything less than 30 PRA points from my selection is a major disappointment. That's right. Twenty-nine won't cut it. My first inclination was to select Carlos Boozer. Like J-Lo (my nickname for fantasy expert Jon Loomer; I think you should use it too) said last time out, "You need to react, but also trust your gut."

With that said, I'm going with my gut and selecting Carlos Boozer. I know Booz-a-Palooza (my nickname for Boozer) didn't have a spectacular Game 1 with 11 points and 12 boards. He boasted a 24 PRA on Saturday night, which doesn't achieve my selection standards at this point. However, I'm simply reacting here.

How? First of all, Boozer is taking on Chuck Hayes in the power forward matchup. Now, I know Yao is down there in the paint and that Chuck is a solid defender, but I also know that Boozer averaged 15.3 points, 12.8 boards and 2.8 assists against the Rockets in four regular season games - good for a 30.9 PRA. Me thinks I like that.

In other words, I'm expecting Boozer to respond nicely on Monday night.

Additionally, Game 3 of this series is on Thursday night, and the other games for that evening are DET-ORL and PHO-LAL. You already know how I feel about that DET-ORL series for our purposes. Now, if Phoenix wins once again on Tuesday, you can plan on Kobe Bryant being my selection for Thursday. He would be at home, down 0-2 in the series, and not happy. You know Kobe's competitive edge; I can just envision my 50+ PRA for that evening already.

So, go with Carlos Boozer on Monday night. It'll be Booz-a-Palooza.
