Perodua already start sending recall letters to replace the gear shift cable, and RM30 voucher as well.
Check with service center if you didn't receive this.
Get it fixed at service center. They will adjust / replace the door lock.
Change to N when idle. Engine vibration should be lesser after break in 1000km, and even lesser after 5000km.
Check with service center if vibration is getting serious. Minor vibration during idle for 3 cylinder engine is acceptable.
I just did an important diy to my axia, later on will share pictures.
I do recommend all axia owner copy my diy, because we are the pioneer, there are no "expensive lesson" that we can learn from previous owner.
here is the diy..
follow at your own risk.
why i did this?

because water can lead to corrosion, and plus it will weaken the subframe/structure..
imagine in 3 years, if u unfortunate, the front section collapse after a small accident with a bicycle..
also the 4 star ncap is nothing if the chassis/subframe is is full of rust.. maybe become 2 star already.. smile.gif
it may not corrode in 3 or 5 months, does not mean it will not corrode in 2 / 3 years.. more unfortunate if it happens ngam ngam after our warranty finish or if not yet finish, warranty void because u did this and that, overdue this, lambat servis etc, (they will find alasan and upkar u upside down)

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=72548138Finally spent some times and did the aircond water outlet.
here is my take, using fuel hose and garden hose
After this DIY, I think if you can find a long soft rubber hose, remove the original hose and just straight away plug it into the water outlet hole inside the cabin, no need to join different hose together. I think car air-cond shop should have it.
Fuel hose can get at car spare parts shop, tell them fuel hose 10mm. I get 2ft for RM10.

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=72844963Can get it installed at many accessories shop, price ranges from 200 to 230 with installation included.
Just installed the famous 4 in 1 thingy to my Axia last weekend. Bought it from Jack , Cooz auto
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=3454419Very good seller provided me the guide to install it. To those who wish to DIY and experience more with your car, can try it. Make sure you get the right spec. The brake socket for G spec and SE/Adv are different as I know.
Installation is pretty simple. The door receiver module is behind the glove box, the brake and side mirror switches are on the driver side, behind the small compartment box.
Take out the glove box, locate the door receiver module, it is hidden at the top there.
(The glove box is abit hard to remove, need to use some gentle force here, but make sure not to break anything.
).
Plug out the existing plug, and plug in the 4in1 wires. The plugs are fool-proof so it can only be plugged one side, you can't go wrong there. Plugs everything and you are good to go.
Immediately you will hear the tick-tok-tick-tok signal sound, as your door is open, this 4 in 1 includes the hazards lights double signal when door is open, it will only blinks for 20 seconds, after that it will stop. Which is a very considerate feature, as nobody would like their car tick-tok-tick-tok forever right when doors are open.
After that, put the wire to go to the driver side for the brake and side mirror. You should easily find a space here for wire to go through, and I guess different people will choose different place for it. The wires length are not that long, so need to make sure it can reach the side mirror and brake switch. Very simple for side mirror and brake, you can find the switches easily, just plug out and connect into the wires sockets, connect the other end to the existing wire.
Update : Brake switch location :
Then if you want to have Tee-Tee sound when lock / unlock, you need to install the buzzer. For the buzzer, if you want to install on the front hood, just open the hood, you will seed a big rubber cap near the battery side. Peel out that rubber cap, put the buzzer wire through, and put back the rubber cap. make sure it is tight otherwise air / water may come in from there. Plug the buzzer head into the 4 in 1 box and that's it.
(sorry forgot to take pics for this step).
There is also a jumper on the 4 in 1 box, where you can set :
1) Side mirrors unfold immediately when door is unlocked OR
2) Side mirrors unfold only when key position is on ACC mode (engine on).
*Many thanks skyny / Jack for the information about the jumper.
At first I thought option 2) would be so cool, like unlock then the side mirrors unfold, like the car is welcoming you
But after awhile, found it not practical, as sometimes I just need to unlock take my stuff, then lock it back. The side mirrors will unfold and then fold again. I worry this will cause extra damage to the motors as it is used more frequent now, so I change it back to option 1).
For my case, the jumper is set at option 1) out from the box, but to be sure, better to test it first before closing the glove box. (Again, removing and installing the glove box is not fun at all.
)
Then finally, you need to choose where to place this 4 in 1 tiny black box. I use a double side tape and stick it with the door receiver. After make sure everything is tested and working good, reinstall back the glove box and enjoy.
So far my feedbacks on the device :
1) Hazard lights when doors open is abit redundant for me, I wish it can be switched off.
2) Foot brake auto-lock only works when key is on ACC / engine on, and doors are closed properly. And yout need to press the foot brake for about 1sec, only it will lock the door.
Other than that, this device is so cool and worth it.
I go and show off to my friends afterwards, they are so amazed of side mirrors auto folding when lock. Just act cool when pressing the lock button
Hope this helps.

not sure about new axia. here's how mine works.
1. open your left passenger door. remove the rubber sealer so that you can remove the plastic at A piller. you'll see a white colored connector with green and white wires. be careful while remove the plastic, if you can find any panel removal tools, use it.
2. use pins like
this to put on 2 wires (+ve and -ve) so you can chuck the pins into the plastic panel. for me, i just twist the wire, and push it into the connector.
3. secure the wires with zip tie or tape.
white is negative, green is positive4. fish the wires down from the dashboard, secure the wires with zip tie or tap, try to find any wires that you could tag a long so that it doesn't pull the wire when the car vibrates.
5. open up all the floor plastic panels. and fish the wires together with the harness. zip tie them to secure.
6. fish the wires by tucking them under the plastic panels. and stick the LED strips or any light bulbs. so far metal parts are easier to stick than the plastic parts.
pros:
1. no wires cut
2. lit the dark
cons:
1. the wires might fall out from the connector and cause short circuit. so SECURE THE WIRES
2. the lights not able to be controlled by the room light. even with room light off, it will turned on when doors opened.
3. u are messing with electronics and wires, Perodua might have the right to void your warranty.
ps: anyone who knows how to open the white plastic connector please share with me. or anyone who knows where to buy the exact same plastic socket. share with me.
