You may look for used valve amp, perhaps just replace new tubes or capacitor only. But don't use silver cbl to attached at Usher s-520 as SQ will be overbright.

Cannot say "toys" smile.gif , the right term should be "Action Figure" nod.gif

how do you tell its laminated?

Just a wild guess as the surface is quite reflective and the joining is seamless and tidy (almost look the same as my schoolmate's home). Real woods looks more natural (as in my friend's home). Anyway, as long as it looks good wink.gif

my hifi is in the living room.... cant put anything on the wall! The wall belongs to my home minister...

-------------------------------

Anyway, if i got the chance i will put this

"Acoustical wall and ceiling panels
Specially formulated decorative cork panels with excellent acoustic and insulating qualities. Acoustic cork tiles are multipurpose. Ideal as wall and ceiling coverings, perfect as bulletin boards from one panel to a whole wall, and excellent insulators for both sound and temperature. The tile surface is treated with wax to repel dust and to augment the look of the tile. They are ½” (13mm) in thickness and are available with or without self-adhesive backing."
