The last I checked, that link bridge is still labelled as 'proposed' in SV2's website and when I drove by last week, I have yet to see any works going on for it.

But that station is really far from SV. Like 1km ish onwards. Not sure if any average person would be willing to walk all the way from that station to it. I won't be surprised if most will just interchange from the MRT2 to the MRT at TRX, then make a stop at either Cochrane or Maluri in order to reach either MyTown or SV.

They finished on of the pillars in front of the new medical center. they are doing some soil works and survey across the road now..

I see. Nice to hear that. I thought it's not gonna happen due to the distance from SV all the way to the CSL LRT/MRT2 interchange.

I believe the covered walkway will be materialized, just in the matter of time. But again, whether it is walking distance depends on individual.

Yep.. LRT is shitty nowadays.. always faulty.. and pack like sardin..

800m is too far.. consider the area surrounding by low cost flats.. very not safe.. If I'm not mistaken, the area also is the area where the famous children kidnapping case happened before, "Nurin"...

Quite normal for it to be packed during peak hours, especially when going to and from work. I recall a friend of mine staying at Main Place also faced this when he boards at the USJ21 station even at 7am. Had to stand all the way to KLCC where he works. I'm also an LRT user and face this whenever I board it from KL Sentral to Taman Paramount on some days for dinner.

But for me, if the 1st train that arrives is really packed, I'll just wait for the next train in 3 mins time to arrive to board it as that's the fastest frequency during peak hours.

Singapore's MRT also faced breakdowns as well in the below articles:
1) Rolling stock to laughing stock: Why is Singapore’s metro struggling, when Hong Kong’s is a hit?
2) MRT disruption: Track fault the cause

But so far it's running fine when I was there last December.

As for Nurin's case, I recall reading about it a long time ago, but can't remember the details. Managed to dig it up and found an old the Star article dating back to 2007 when the case was still hot at that time.
QUOTE
Nurin Jazlin, a Year Two pupil of Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Desa Setapak, went missing on Aug 20 when she went to the night market near her house by herself.

Her badly bruised body was found stuffed in a sports bag in Jalan PJS1/48 in Petaling Jaya on Sept 17.

The post-mortem revealed she had been sexually assaulted with a cucumber and brinjal.

Really sad and unfortunate. A stark reminder that young children should be accompanied by a guardian(s) or parent(s) when going out to public places.

Is residential area. People stay there but work in the city.
Gombak station up to Damai station you can see only ppl getting up the LRT in the morning. Ppl start getting down at Ampang Park station onwards.

I remember when I rented flat at Wangsamaju Section 2 close to Army Hospital. I used to walk approx. 1km to Putra LRT station to go to office at KL Sentral. Almost 2 years and nothing happened in term of safety.

But yes, during morning hours expect few trains full and long queue. Good thing was during peak hours, they ran many empty coaches to cater the passengers.

Fresh grad and no vehicle, so no choice and can’t complaint. But convenient.

Ahh, that’s too bad sad.gif Hope there will be one created soon for both tower A and B buyers.

I actually joined the Quartz telegram group (seem open to everyone as long as have invitation link), can actually learn a lot knowledge there as they are quite active in the group sharing news, updates and general stuff ie. questions about loan calculation etc.

Agreed.

Noticed that quite a number of members in this forum complained about how jam-packed the KJ LRT is, but not once did they mention that during peak hours, the train frequency is higher and shorter waiting times (2-3 mins) in between trains. If the train that arrives is full, wait for the next one to board it, which is just 2-3 mins wait.

But yeah, it's human nature to make mountains out of molehills.
