I bought my EP630 for RM99 from one of the big IT shop at Low Yat...  Wonder where can find it for less...  So, is RM99 considered expensive & is it original?  Any idea how to see if it is fake?

I'm using it with my SONY NW-E015F.  Using it with EQ, Clear Stereo & the works "ON".  Guess it's not considered a good earphone?

Anyway, I kind of like the sound... sounds quite clear & of course the bass.  However, after using for about a 2 months I suddenly realise there somthing missing from the sound quality.  Don't know what it is cause I'm not an audiophile.  Didn't realise this before...maybe it's because I was using the SONY MDR-EX55 - which I think doesn't sound good after using this EP630.

Now thinking of changing. Any idea how is the new EP830?

In the context of retail market, RM99 can be considered ok la because I also found other shops in Low Yat Plaza sell EP630 more expensive ranging from RM150-RM190.

However in the world of internet shopping RM99's a little bit expensive. I bought mine in internet at less than RM60 (including shipping charge) and yes it is original according to other many buyers (and me).

To be honest it is not easy to detect whether its original or fake. Try read some more on others EP630 user's experiences in this thread to get the picture of how the original sound quality.

EP830 claimed by Creative Labs as premium canalphone. It is shipped together with Creative Zen X-Fi. So price-wise, if EP630 is a budget model, you can assume or expect better from EP830. Hard to be specific about EP830 sound quality as I have not found any reviews yet about it and not many using it too.

Most forumers here burned their earphones with songs they normally listen to, irregardless of genres. Beside using songs, we also can use noises.

The fact is headphone/earphone burning does only require sound or noise, not necessarily song or music. We can use white noise or pink noise. White noise is the sound that you hear when you turn on FM radio without tune in to any radio station frequencies. While pink noise is like white noise with smaller spectrum (I think, not terribly sure) and it sounds like when you standing at beach of an ocean.

I plan to use white noise from FM radio to burn my earphone. Turning on my computer 24 hours just to burn earphone instead of listening to it seems such a electricity waste to me. Better use lower electrical consuming device such as radio.

Is not that will reduces life span of your mp3/mp4's battery? Changing mp3/mp4's battery are normally costly

Ok now we are straying from the main focus of this thread, which should be discussing the EP630/635

Yes it was me

I'm suggesting it because FM radio produce white noise, which some claim the white noise is more natural than pink noise. White noise also fairly distribute all sounds frequency, from treble to bass. And the white noise from radio is natural because it is not recorded, not compressed, and at its original form, which unlike the pink noise that we downloaded.

And not to forget you can keep using your CD player, laptop, PC, or mp3 player as usual, not constrained by burning session. Just let the old radio efficiently does the burning with original natural noise at lowest electrical cost

Maybe no need to be so precise how many hours you burned. I measure my burning hours by day instead of hours. Let say I left a headphone burning two days ago, I assume the burning is 48(24hoursx2) hours already. Just relax, the longer you burn the better, so just keep burning, forget about the time span laugh.gif

I thought lithium battery doesnt mine charging often?

QUOTE
Meizu M6 miniPlayer – Lithium Battery FAQ & Care Tips

There is only one way to charge lithium-based batteries. Charge the battery often. The battery lasts longer with partial rather than full discharges.

Lithium-ion is a very clean system and does not need priming as nickel-based batteries do. The 1st charge is no different to the 5th or the 50th charge. Stickers instructing to charge the battery for 8 hours or more for the first time may be a leftover from the nickel battery days (ignorance).

Thanks for the feedback. Saw the EP830 selling more than RM150 (if my memory didn't fail me). Any idea if EP630 can still be purchase for RM60? If yes, mind to share where? Thanks. Also, can EP635 be purchase from internet at RM60 as well? BTW, the sound quality of both EP630 & EP635 are the same, right? The only difference is EP635 is the necklace type, right?

Kev, you can order your EP-630 at RM 58 (include postage) here:
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f=21&t=438687
Some of us here in the forum get from this guy, pretty reliable. I bought mine here.

The pouch might not be included for the shelf-version as it comes with a "case" already. laugh.gif
Not to worry, those on-shelf EP-630 doesn't comes with a pouch either, I've checked a few shops around.
