FTTH Auth & Link OK, no phone, can't detect PPPoE server.
Looks like OLT OK but PPPoE concentrator exploded. Maybe line severed somewhere. Maybe upgrading capacity. Finally going to get my 50mbps upgrade.

Update: 12:52am OK already.
Looks like I got upgrade 100mbps but someone missed a zero. Speedtest.tm.com.my at 10/10.
Access concentrator has changed. Current AC is ibse01.bgi. Maybe backup unit?
Speed back to normal. 30/10

What router? I downloaded Starcraft Remastered, Starcraft II patches from Blizzard, no probs. Various updates from Steam also no problem. Torrents also ok.

Yeah, my MacBook has this prob sometimes. It detects the country code transmitted from the router and uses it to determine which channels it can use. Look up 802.11d. But sometimes my MacBook doesn't get the right CC and consequentially ignores the 5Ghz channel.

Most likely. Tried on Maxis 4G slow but loads OK.

My pings are slightly better than above on Unifi.

Don't think so. LYN forum, www.LYN, lazada, shopee, thestar, not sure if they are all hosted locally.

Don't worry. Unifi on fibre is quite reliable. No experience on VDSL. Router hanging is another story but you can always get a better router of your own. The routers that TM supplies are OK if not stressed too much.

1% is 87hrs. Considered bad already but, as you said, it depends on where you are.

No need, one floor should be just fine.

If you get the DIR-850L, you can set priority for individual devices. Low, medium, high, Not sure if it actually does anything though.
If TPLink C1200v1, no.
If TPLink C5v2, you can set rate limit for a SSID.

There may be more features but that's all I recall.

If you need absolute control over speed limits for devices, a cheap option would be a Mikrotik router.

No probs here. Just tried youporn, bet365, CNN and Weibo.

TM can do anything since they have control of the routers. It's not difficult. I do that in my office too irregardless of what DNS the peasants have set on their PCs.

Seriously, C1200 where got phased array antenna. Beamforming in wifi routers is mainly just a buzzword. The first thing that tells you that it's not a phased array is that the antennas can be adjusted any which way by hand.

I believe no difference other than the logo on the front. I have one from TM also. I think I'll flash it and give it a try. Lotsa ppl here having some probs though. btw the update for the co-called retail unit is the same as the SG/Starhub update.

Finally got my TQ 30-50 upgrade. No MCMC required. Sg Long users rejoice!

Earlier today no problem. Went so fast that I didn't even realise it was finished.

How are you testing the speed? RT-N12HP no problem handling 50mbps.

After that 10sen/hour. ok lah, quite cheap. Malaysians are too pampered, everywhere got free wifi. Some cuntries, dun have at all. All must pay.
