I read about the RM10 upgrade SMS here and called 100 the next day to apply for the upgrade. More info here:

Yep, they are using Ookla Speedtest custom speedtest API. You can get it too. See below.
You can design your own speedtest, but you just need to pay $1995 USD a year lol.
*
Got free one also. Here's mine. It's just an iframe. No API needed.

Ah, you are using the free option. Good job soonwai and thank you for the lesson. Please don’t tell me TM is using the free version lol.
*
I think they're paying for it. Expensive USD1995! Cause you can see that they're configured a custom speedtest server.

Lazy 1 minute HTML to add this to your website.

something weird i noticed on my 100Mbps

i restart router and few days without torrent, the speed can maintain at 100Mbps when i run speedtest
if i restart router and torrent, the speed drop to 60Mbps after one day... never can back to 100Mbps, then i restart router again it back to 100Mbps  blink.gif

i have repeated test the above scenario, only happen when i torrent... i try different torrent client, same problem  sweat.gif
i try direct download for few days, big files at least 10GB+ for few times, no issue at all

in fact i am not heavily using torrent, just leave few seed.. i tried with different router, the C1200 provided by TM and my own Asus router, same problem  doh.gif
*
Interesting. I never encountered this or maybe just didn’t notice it. I usually torrent every night 2-5GB then leave it seeding till I wake up.

Will keep an eye on my speedtests.

This is how my bill looks like after the RYE 100mbps RM10 upgrade.
My installation was Nov 27. My bill comes out on the 28th. Below is my 28 Nov bill.

I'm expecting: UniFi Pro 100mbps RYE 299 + Ruby 30 + Jumbo 60 = 389 less Promo 150 & Special 50 = RM189. RM200.34 with GST.
You can see the pro-rata calculation for one day.

user posted image

Nov 28: Bill total was 149 + 91.94 + 0.90 (for a phone call) = RM241.84. RM256.35 with GST. Special discount RM50 is missing
Nov 29: Called 100 to report billing error.
Dec 02: Bill rebated RM60. RM241.84 - 60= RM181.84. RM192.75 with GST.
Not sure why they rebated me extra RM10.

I supposed it is not missing RM 50 that caused the issue, it was the RM 60 Jumbo pack that caused the issue.
Your HyppTV should be charged with only RM 30. Since Jumbo should be free, RM 1.94 + RM 60 should be rebated, in my opinion..

Also phone call of RM 0.90 should be rebated too..
*
That 90 sen phone call is correct since I didn't have STD20 before RYE100. That call was made earlier in Nov.

As for Jumbo being free, I think most likely that's where they'll put the RM50 special discount so Jumbo becomes 60-50=RM10. If they make Jumbo pack free then they have to add back RM10 somewhere. Next bill should answer this.

I've had that since ages ago, VIP5?. Read about it and promptly ignored. Some antivirus/firewall software or something like that. I think it's described here:

I finally can view my bill and I must say mine is totally different from you guys. laugh.gif

My monthly Internet subscription is only RM 99. laugh.gif But I have to pay for Jumbo and Ruby which is RM 90. So in total is still RM 189 without GST.

I called billing to confirm and this is also confirmed by her that my Internet is RM 99 + HyppTV RM 90. I asked if I can cancel Ruby a year later, she said it should be OK but I can only try a year later.

...
*
Interesting, TM lump all the RM200 discount into Unifi Pro. My bill will be out next week. Expect to be the same as yours. Also during the RM10 sign-up, when TM read the TnC over the phone to me, there's a clause which says removing Jumbo pack will remove the discounts. No mention of Ruby pack so I guess terminating Ruby in 1 years time should be doable.

QUOTE(MGM @ Dec 20 2017, 11:03 AM)
Std20?
*
STD20 is part of RM299 UniFi Pro. If you go to Unifi.com.my and sign-up for a new line, you'll see it stated there as such.

Want to check with 100mbps user here, may I know which BTU your using and can the speed hit 100mbps?

Im using the Huawei hg8240w & router tp-link archer c5, on LAN max speed only 95mbps (cat5e cable) but 5G Wifi can hit over 100mbps

Im not sure the BTU is FE or GE port, the technician told me this is latest model and no changes needed.

I myself also confused because if FE port then wifi wont hit 100mbps right?

If anyone here can confirm the BTU is only FE port, then I want to request for equipment change.
*
Mine is the Huawei HG8240H which definitely has Gbe ports. Not sure about the HG8240W. Plug your PC directly to the BTU and check the ethernet link speed.

No probs going over 100mbps on 5Ghz

When you guys did the RM10 upgrade, how many working days u guys wait for the upgrade to be completed?

Mine was quite slow. Some people 2/3 days done.

Nov 17: Called 100 and applied.
Nov 27: Installation day. 100mbps upgraded & working but installation not complete (new BTU not installed) due to some problems.
Dec 02: All done
