Typical Malaysian mentality and "tidak apa" attitude.
They are using old tls protocol which has vulnerability issues.
The default account password that they gave to customer is lnked to HyppTV account to login (same password). @streamyx/@unifi
You can not change the default account password using their website.

Time has the best international routing, period.
I remember , Jaring also had the best international routing before it went down for good.

Nobody cares. Well, not absolutely nobody, I can see that you do and I know I do but really, nobody in genpop cares.

Hows the performance of huawei btu? Tm gave me fiberhome brand since my first regstration before
*
It's good I guess. I mean it doesn't do much. My first BTU, the old black Huawei HG850a, also works at 100mbps but limited very slightly by its 100mbps ethernet ports.

I just make a call to 100 can comfrim the rm10 upgrade done , need take 7 working days to process.  rclxm9.gif

and i got ask the helpdesk there no need any hardware replacement to be taken , but my btu is huawei black color 1 (since vip5 taken) , is able to carry 100mb line overall ? or i need take a report to ask for replacement 1st?
*
That's the same one I had, the Huawei HG850a. If you're upgrading to UniFi 100mbps then the Helpdesk is wrong. They should replace that with a newer BTU with gigabit ports. The HG850a has 100mbps ethernet ports. While it will work, it'll only be able to reach ~95mbps. Did TM say anything about coming to your house for installation? If they're coming over, I'm pretty sure they'll replace the BTU and give you a new router too.

Yes, please advise so that I can speak to them tomorrow. Very very frustrating.
Now what should I do as the reality is it hasn't showed 100Mbps in my package?
They took back everything now, honestly I don't need their router.
*
This is so stupid. What the heck is TM doing? So it's basically the same thing that befell shawty and me.

Just to recap. For me, they came, setup everything, tested speed, still 50/20, package wasn't upgraded, removed and took away new BTU & router. For whatever reason they couldn't just leave the equipment and wait for the 100/50 to be active. Difference is that my contractor told me that all he needs is, is for 100/50 to be active and then he'll come back to complete the job.

Anyway, what I did was to call 100 at 6pm on the same evening - it's 3 for Order Status/Installation - and told them basically the same thing as above. The CS told me that he'll try to expedite the upgrade. I specifically told him that all the contractor needs is for the 100/50 to be active. Surprisingly, that he did, by 8pm. 100/50 was activated even though package at unifi.com.my was still listed as TQ50. Jumbo pack was also working. I didn't test Jumbo pack earlier. This was all on Monday.

By this stage, I had basically everything except the new equipment. It was just a matter of informing the contractor and waiting for him to come which he did today (Sat).

A few other things:
My installation day was Monday and my billing date was Tuesday. By Tuesday or Weds, I can already see the new bill amount. Sans the extra RM50 discount but that's another issue. The PDF bill received another day later concurs.
I reported the missing RM50 discount on Weds and it was corrected on Friday. I could only see it corrected in "Amount Due" as my package still hasn't changed.
In fact, all this while, my package shows as TQ50. I just checked a minute ago and it's still TQ50.

Not sure if we can call 100 to somehow get them to activate the new 100mbps speed first. hmm.gif

soonwai Come to think of it, shouldn’t it be the technician’s responsibility to contact TM on that issue?
*
Yeah, it should be. My contractor did call someone as they were leaving. I just thought a call to 100 from me would help too. As for their requirement of having the speed already upgraded before the installer comes, well, I wasn't aware of that but it's quite clear that someone or something at TM screwed up.
Not for everyone though because chaos32 said that his was already 100/50 before the installers came. So somewhere it's happening in the correct sequence.

Nope, upgrade only effective after installer came. My appointment was supposed to be 4pm, it took him 20min to change the appointment in the system to 9.23am, coz activation are triggered by appointment time in the system, once appointment time lapse, he will have an option to activate the modification. This was what being told to me by the installer.
*
Interesting. I wonder why they do that. To exercise such fine control over the time of the activation. What's the purpose? Doesn't make sense to me. Why not just activate at the beginning of the installation day or the day before?

I asked on Live Chat the guy told me if no receive any call or SMS regarding the RM10 upgrade then I am not eligible. Is that true?

Anyway, I just installed my 30mbps on October for RM179 package.

Is the RM10 upgrade for old customers only?
*
Not true. I didn't get the sms nor any calls from TM and I still managed to get the RM10 upgrade. I read about it here on a Thursday two weeks ago and called 100 the next morning. I'm a long time subscriber since the VIP5 days.

This is the only IPv6 configuration I can find in my router, is this the correct one? If yes I already turn off but still same 0 upload speed.
Called TM and the CS got no clue on this issue.

Not that one. Look here. Change IPV4/IPv6 to IPv4.

Okay..im using not sure what brand "fiberhome" from tm..not sure if thats the reason i canmot hit 100mbps..the best is 97mbps sad.gif
*
What's the model? If the ports are 100mbps then you won't be able to get more than 97. If indeed it is 100mbps ports then TM should have changed your BTU.

The kitchen appliances especially the microwave oven and the fridge are the main culprits. Even your wireless desk phone also produces interference. On top of the suggestions to use powerline and repeater, you could also pull a long cable to the kitchen but it is a hassle and not cheap. How often do you need wifi connection in the kitchen?
TM have a record of your BTU and will know if it supports 100mbps. The 'code' they used is RG4.
I am not sure about the record for the router though.
*
Yeah, the microwave is especially bad. When its magnetron is on, it floods the 2.4GHz band, red parts below. Spectral scan done on my Mikrotik RB2011 upstairs 20 ft away from the microwave downstairs.

user posted image
NB: Sample is with KFC inside microwave, results may differ with other food.

The spectral scan waterfall display is also useful for pretending to be the sonar operator in a hunter killer sub.

That strong green line on the right is Maxis' LTE band 7 or something, I forgot.

Could not find this feature in the router though. Any other way to find out?

Plug in using wired LAN can see?
*
Yeah, try that. Plug your PC direct to the Fiberhome, any port. Nothing will work, just want to see the link speed reported by your PC.

Specs for the BG version. Looks like GbE ports.

U're using H267A too? My PPPoE is using IPv4, everything else same with ur PPPoE except username and password.

Added on
Does this call forwarding works if I enable it? Any charges for that?
...
*
Not using it personally but helped my friend set it up. As I remember, no problems with upload on Speedtests.

My order for the RM10 50-100 upgrade finally completed.

Web is showing the RYE package now. Looks OK except discount is RM150 not RM200 despite TM correctly adjusting my bill last week. My bill which came out one day after the installation was 241.84 (RM50 discount missing). I was then given a rebate of RM60 which adjusted it to RM181.84. (prices before GST)

Another billing report made.

your pack is worth

RM 299+RM20+RM60 = RM379.

RM150 discount so far, paying only RM229 exclusive GST.

How much you pay when you were in 50 Mbps ?
*
Mine is like this:

Before (TQ Surprise 50mbps) RM179
50mbps 219 + Ruby 30 = 249 less discount 70 = RM179

After (RM10 upgrade 100mbps) RM189
100mbps 299 +STD20 0 + Ruby 30 + Jumbo 60 = 389 less discount 200 = RM189
