Half an hour ago, I got notified of an IP address change by my router
![]() In other words, my PPPoE got disconnected and reconnected. Straight away go check my Speedtest. It seems like they're doing something. Speedtest now shows 100/50mbps. Ticket status are unchanged, the Modify Order ticket still at PONR and my package is still TQSurprise50. This post has been edited by soonwai: Nov 27 2017, 08:37 PM |

QUOTE(Icehart @ Nov 27 2017, 06:40 PM) ... After the TM contractors left at 5pm, I called 100 and reported the situation. At about 8pm, I got the 100mbps. Still have to wait for the contractors to come back to give me the new TPLink. unifi.com.my still unchanged. That sucks. But if you have all the documentation should be okay. My friend received the SMS too, got upgraded to 100Mbps already and paying RM 189. I'm furious now. QUOTE(OKLY @ Nov 27 2017, 06:45 PM) I wonder if there’s anything to do with they have to actually convert us to 100mbps plan first? If it’s 50mbps isn’t it we will still get 50mbps when the technician comes over? I think so. I believe that's one of the "system problems" that prevented the contractor from finalising the job. Still, I can't brain why they are unable to just leave the equipment here while the system is updated to 100mbps. Which it is now as of 8pm. |

QUOTE(vez @ Nov 27 2017, 07:50 PM) the TM sms stated tomorrow 28 Nov 2017 will come my house install the upgrade (i think is my orange router not support), any time from 12:31pm to 7:30pm, stated the installer name and phone number Yeah, same here. For my installation today afternoon, I received the sms with the contractor's number in the morning. Sent a message to him asking for an approx time but he didn't reply. He did call about an hr before he came over. It's understandable though as installations can be unpredictable. Mine is a good example. What could have been done in 30mins, changing the BTU, ended up taking more than an hour due to TM's system problems. Not the contractor's fault but I was so disappointed.quite speechless with TM contractor sometime, call him no reply, sms and whatsapp seen also dont want reply... how the hell i have to waited him without doing thing from 12:31pm to 7:30pm.... really i need to take leave also at least confirm he will come lol, when i first install UniFi 3 years back, the TM contractor told me 9am morning, when he actually reach my house, IT IS 2pm already.... |

QUOTE(aa123aa @ Nov 27 2017, 08:11 PM) By right, System problem is on their end. they could just leave all those router. And notified you once the system is done for your upgrade. Then no need to arrange for them to come again. This is the most mafan thing... Need to wait the freaking whole day just for them to come. Plus most of time, never come on time. Yeah, I know right. I suggested the same thing to them to leave the already installed equipment behind and let TM sort out the problems than kautim right? Because everything working already, ONU connected, internet OK even though only at 50mbps, telephone also working but they say cannot. I guess must be following SOP or something. The contractor tried though, I think he feels the same way cause he called 3 different, I presume, TM people but in the end still cannot. |

QUOTE(GamaX320 @ Nov 27 2017, 09:00 PM) That's a Telegram bot. My router uses it to communicate status messages such as IP address changes to my phone using the Telegram app.QUOTE(ddr3 @ Nov 27 2017, 09:05 PM) Not 100% sure. I think it's PORN spelt wrongly but according to this site: http://www.tmnetmalaysia.com/2012/08/unifi...tus-remark.htmlIt's "Order already completed and installed, and waiting system to update COMPLETE in 24 hours." I've had that This post has been edited by soonwai: Nov 27 2017, 11:15 PM |

QUOTE(chaos32 @ Nov 27 2017, 09:18 PM) Actually in my case, the switch was done 2 days before when they called to verify details such as ic etc. Right after the call, my connection went dead and was reconnected about 20mins later. I was suspicious and did a speedtest. The techinician that appears today was just to install router since they assume I didn't have a gigabit capable router. Interesting. Cause my ONU went dead on Sunday afternoon around the same time the status was changed to PONR. But it never came back on. No internet and no phone for the rest of Sunday. The CS who called on Friday warned me that this would happen. This post has been edited by soonwai: Nov 27 2017, 11:28 PM |

QUOTE(jasonhanjk @ Nov 27 2017, 07:21 PM) I use my modem and router since 2013. I test my speed via lan and manage to get the new speed of 30M. Only problem is wifi cannot hit that speed. If TM gives you a router for free, they'll renew your contract for another 2 years. Why not just buy your own router? So I get a new router by calling 100 right? I lodge a report and told them my wifi not able to hit 30M but they still want to send technician to check outside my house. Earlier today they even reset their port and I just follow their instructions to get it done. Can't they just give me the router and be over with? QUOTE(stephantsen @ Nov 27 2017, 09:46 PM) I'm using my own router but I let the contractors setup the new modem and new router so they can check everything's working with equipment familiar to them. I also brought out my old original VIP5 DIR-615 router just in case. See my old router, better give me a new one. |
