on the rashguard note, i would say get something look good is No1, but i'm now using a 1mm Quiksilver rashguard/wetsuit. would prefer a zippered one (like Gull) though for easier don and doff, but won't look so cool la.

May I know if quicksilver rash guard have any microfleece inside for heat retention?

Lavacore thin rashguard got "fleece" inside but i think will be similar with other rashguards. If u looking for thicker ones than its expensive.

mine is more like a 1mm wetsuit rather than a rash guard, so you have a 1mm neoprene-ish type of material for heat retention but nowhere near fleece. torso area has a silver coating for better heat retention, but if speedboat jalan after dive, same shit cold. better than normal rashguard though

Thanks for the info.

As I'm looking for a suit that can be used for general water sports and diving in a go, preferably not so thick la. I'm not that afraid of cold anyway.

In any case, the best thing to do when you get back on a boat is to make yourself dry. Can't do that when you're still wearing wet stuff on you...

Went to MIDE on Saturday but only got a pair of rashguards. Didn't really know whether things are cheap or not since I'm newly into this. Would have loved to join the TT but was rushing to watch the rugby match at the stadium after.

I bought Odysea jacket and pants. I must have not noticed the Scubapro. I was there for about an hour or 2 before I left.
