Need suggestion! Worth to buying the new vios gen? I’m deciding in between Honda city and this.

Test drive both. Compare the features. If you are looking for fun driving, go for city. If you are looking for reliable engine, go for vios.

Is good to see UMW start to up their level on safety feature across all spec.
7 Airbag , VSC, TRC, HAC

It's precisely the lack of safety features that made it easier for me to choose City V spec, which happens to be my first Honda.

I have owned a few Toyota car/Mpv before, and have good experience so far, except the lack of advanced safety features. I always think a Toyota is more hardy and cheaper to maintain.

True.. my first car is also honda city v spec.. hahaha..
But now with all the passive & active safety feature.. I believe this vios might sale well in 2019, provided h.city is almost due for update.

Just now browse through Honda web page.
Seems like Honda City V comes with rear drum brake only, not disc brake.
True? or just web page typo mistake?
Also no front sensor and 360 panoramic view, I think.
If true, then Vios is better in these aspect.
How about tint? No mentioned in the web page though.

Test drive both. About reliability. Vios also has a CVT engine which is not same with previous "reliable" Toyota engine. I wouldn't say it is more reliable than city. Just test drive both

Disk or drum makes no different this type of car segmen. 360 camera nothing to be proud off. Often got problem. Fix one, other will cause problem. Have to keep visiting sc

For you info, cvt is not part of engine. So it is wrong to say cvt engine. Cvt is transmission similar as auto/manual/dual clutch.

It's true. But what vios has did not justify what city has compared to vios. And those what vios has is better off with aftermarket.

And what city has can't simply get with aftermarket.

Feature wise, the new vios is definately a step forward as compare to our version. Just that the front design is a bit ... laugh.gif Maybe a black paint can cover the weird looking front.

Some feature like rear disc brake, blind spot monitor, etc although not a necessity in this segment, is a nice to have also ma rclxms.gif

Those who are toyota's diehard fans will surely like the new vios. Those who bought vios in 2018, will surely feel heartache. Those who are openly do comparison between vios and city, will surely take city. Even city is due for model upgrade, the current one still surpass the new vios.

i am trying to "revive" my old NCP42 vios.
it get a new paintjob and other minor upgrades.
