Hello. I ordered CRV 1.5 Premium edition recently. The waiting period is 2 months for modern silver colour. I should be getting it by Oct/Nov this year. What is the depreciating value by January 2018? I can't find reliable info by goggling.
Is it better to wait till 2018? I am not offered any discount other than RM 3500 company discount.

Value is depreciating 10% yearly.

This month Honda is providing RM1000 Sehati Sejiwa discount. So next couple of months I'm guessing they will provide some kind of rebate but won't be much that would be able cover the depreciating value, unless you are going to sell your car > 10 years later. I'm also having the same dilemma as you.

IMHO, if you can wait then you should wait till Jan 2018. As for me, I went ahead and booked one because my previous ride was getting problematic and I needed to sell it before its value depreciate further and before I need to spend more money to fix it. So I can't really afford to wait few months as I am planning to use the CRV as my daily ride, and my 2nd car that I am using now its too expensive to maintain as daily ride.

Exactly same situation. I guess it will depends o each individual needs. If you can afford to wait then go for it. My previous car, took on 29 Dec haha again, similar situation I can't wait another year where my old car will depreciate more

One thing I notice about Apple Maps in Car Play is that it will automatically pop up new routes if it helps save some travel time and ask if I want to choose that new route. I don't think I've seen this in Waze.

Let's just say, you collect November latest and want to sell to me in January or February.. I'll definitely expect a much lesser price than whatever you pay today. You being the first owner must take the initial depreciation hit. smile.gif

Waze does this too... Albeit more intelligently.. It does real-time calculations based on folks already ahead of you on the same route and automatically applies a reroute (no human interaction necessary), adjusting time higher or lesser. It pops up a little notification to tell if "traffic is increasing or lesser" along the route.

a bit silly to ask this - the Apple Maps will have voice navigation while driving right? My SA told me whenever your car is moving, the HUD will not have any display except musics / handsfree functionalities. sweat.gif safety feature konon

You'll still see the map when moving.

Thanks for all your feedback regarding collecting car at the end of the year vs early next year. I need to sell my current car urgently but fortunately I have an old spare car which I feel I can trash out for the next 4 months.
10 % depreciation over the next few months is a little hard to swallow. So I feel I'd rather wait.

Waze does it at the beginning of the journey.

What I meant with Apple Maps was AFTER you already chose a route and you are driving along it, then it prompt you of a better alternative which will save you 8 minutes. Waze does not do that.

Google Map does that too. Wonder can we use that in Android Auto?

Anyone using external tpms? Kindly sharing what brand and price. It's a pity honda remove it from the premium crv for malaysian buyers.

Day 3 of owning the crv. Noticed rattling sound around driver dashboard area during idling. Sound gone when moving.

If I recall correctly, some other forummer mentioned that this is normal.. Looks like you are at least, the third person/owner to have experienced this "normal" phenomenon. smile.gif
