May I know what color you pick.

Ignite red for me. Although I did open up to other colours, except for silver.

Toyota Malaysia got no SUV around CRV ranges much less Hybrid. If oversea got lar, RAV4.

Toyota Cross is definitely not in the same segment, so out.

There is rumor of a Proton X80, a PHEV with 1300km per tank of petrol.

LOL. I only wanted Silver because it has the least maintenance required

Ya, me, too. Most of my cars are silver, maybe old boring looks but 18 years later, with coating, still shiny as new...almost. This is the only evergreen colour that can last (still shiny) for decade if maintain well. The white will get yellowish in a decade no matter how you take care of it. The black or dark colour, likely have many swirl marks.

One of the white car (my mom selected and owned that), every few days have to wash coz got black water lines and marks all over....all my silver cars, 2 weeks to a month wash...even dirty still looks better than few days old white car with black spots or black water lines..

However I don't really prefer the current Honda Lunar Silver, a bit too dim during darker lighting unlike the bright alabaster silver years ago. Still the only brighter colour model (excluding red) beside white.

thankyou

Is it a good idea to book from different SA since the deposit is refundable?

It looks almost like grey instead of silver

The car serves me. I don't 'pamper' my car and seldom wash it, hence the silver color.

Yes, las time I booked with different agent for my civic. U don't bid for number first. So they can't straightaway register for U.

My time deposit was 1k, return in 3 weeks. The first agent in Johor failed to deliver me the car, so I book in Selangor, faster

I've bid and won a number through eJPJ but have yet to submit the JPJ offer letter to the dealer at Glenmarie. That's why I'm thinking to book through another SA to try my luck.

FYI - this is the 2nd ever car I'm going to purchase over the past 11 years...

that's why I'm still considered very new to all the car purchases

Many new features after so many years. Alarm sound galore. Lane departure warning. Lane centering........you will get some learning curve.

Still the same since January. Looks like there’s some kind of supply chain issue around the electric motor or hybrid drivetrain that’s causing a big bottleneck.

Most showroom branches are only allocated one RS unit at the start of each month, color not guaranteed.

I’m in the same boat, currently waiting since mid-May, so still long time to go. Hopefully production ramps up soon as they resolve the bottleneck and we can get our cars before the end of the year.
thankyou

I think it may not be the exact same powertrain. The CR-V’s has slightly more torque than the Civic’s IIRC.

I booked mine in 23/02/2024 and the SA told me to prepare to wait for at least 3-4 months too. But in exactly 1 month (23/03/2024), SA called me and said the car available. Collected my car on 30/03. Maybe I'm the lucky few.

I try to trade in my G5 to 6 to HM
Honda use carsome price as benchmark

If you are not in hurry, sell it yourself, use Mudah or other platform,, you will get better price, but will take time and a lot of lowballers
Or you can try luck thru carsome auction

I sell it myself
