Should be able to ask for more discount since its an outgoing model + year end car.

The hype is in and with China leading on EV car purchase with cheaper more affordable pricing, it will shift.

But our protectionist gov will wait for National Cars to come up with something thus no affordable EV in near term.

Unless you got 2 cars at home, I would not get an EV as my only car. Long distance charging infrastructure not in place. Also like UK now, it might overburden the electricity grid and now they have problem suppling power to expand the charging points. So many hidden infrastructure problems needs to be solved before EV really become a mass production ride locally.

I'm actually also looking at Atto 3 now but considering long term investment, BYD although super strong now, they are not here locally like Honda and Toyota. Still go thru 3rd party aka Sime Darby.

What attract me is the less maintenance thing (ICE has 2000 parts in engine, EV 20 for example) but I still have doubt on the longevity of BYD and other local Chinese brand vs Honda/Toyota. With high car prices vs our income ratio nowadays, we cannot follow the exact trend of other countries, they can change car on avg, every 5 years. We..mostly 10 to 15 years. So their so-called batteries lasting the lifetime of the car...their expected lifetime can be shorten to less than 10...our 20 kuah.

From my understanding, might be wrong, the normal wall plug can also charge EV but

Meaning it can be used but for safety reason, try not to use that for daily charge.

Our 13a plug using the normal wire can provide max 3Kw, but if go max for this all the time, it might overheat one of these days. Can charge but not recommended for long term due to safety reason.

If you already decided to invest in EV, you may as well consider pulling a thicker cable (have to for consistent higher current) and invest in a 7K-22Kw fast charger. In the market normally the base unit is about 3 to 5K in price. If include installation, should be 4 to 6k. Not sure about the quality...just checking our locally available chargers online when I checking out EV details. So just budget an extra 5 to 6K when you decide to buy an EV.

Installed at UH accessories shop in Setapak for RM450.00 on first week after gotten the car,, so far satisfied with the thing,, only I never compare it with the one from Honda,, but I believe the one that I installed a bit heavy

i'm car nerd so i dun think i can DIY myself, and i'm afraid to install at workshop outside later warranty issue. for  other think i guess can get at aftermarket. thinking whether the coating & tinted from honda whether worth or not.

Actually dash cam no need to be done by Honda anyway. What dash can you’re using? Honda brand DVR?

Only some overly professional installer hide the cable of the dashcam inside the Honda sensing camera module cover that going to cause an issue. I just leave the cable outside and away from Honda sensing cover. I’m using 70Mai A800S btw.

Haven’t install modulo bodykit so not sure about the material they use. But judging at RM 599 you may not able to tell the different between the original ones.

he quoted me Vkool tinted + glass coating + body coating RM3k....not sure what the quality yet.

yes i've checked the official price from honda website, thats why i think the quoted me the price is most probably 3rd party workshop. i haven go in details what type of vkool tint, what type of coating he offer as i haven sign any documents yet. but if i do it outside myself and the price is similar or cheaper by 10or 20%, i would rather go thru this agent, same my time & hassle. but yea problem is i dunno yet what quality he offers me such as what vkool tint was that lol.

Actually this Honda CRV Honda Sensing is safer with the RADAR sensor as compared to Civic FE no longer comes with RADAR hence relying purely with the front camera only.

Guys, need some opinions. Currently I am already having a CRV G5 2019, the pre-facelifted model. I like the new gen G6 so much. But will it be silly to change from G5 to G6?

I told a few friends about this thought, they were like…. “huh? U want to change from CRV to CRV?”
