I don't think its a rumors, its a fact that CRV in Malaysia will never get 3rd row

Only few country got it like,,, if I not mistaken, Indonesia, Thailand, and few more, this country really put people as much as their can in their car, have you been to Thailand and Indonesia,, look how they carry passengers at back of their pick up trucks, or inside their SUVs and MPVs

I remember reading, but dont remember where and when, that customer based on Honda survey,, most never fully use the 3rd row seating.

For some country they got Honda Pilot come with 3rd row seating to cater the needs.

Here in Malaysia people will buy MPV for another row of seating with sliding doors, its troublesome to come out from 3rd row using normal door.

In Malaysia only few SUV come with 3rd row, X-Trail one of it,, damn horror experience if you seated at the 3rd row

No doubts, CRV build for 3rd row seating, look at how the passengers door opening, soo wide.

And its all come back to Honda design Philosophy the M/M Principle. Man Maximum, Machine Minimum.
*
I read about Honda said that Malaysian buyer not prefered 3rd road sea that why they dont bring in 7s. But that survery was done before the SUV become trend in Malaysia.

Since BRV already stop selling , 7s option is good option for customer who want upgrade their car.

I think hybrid is at least RM30K+ more. At that price, may as well get the 1.5T

Anyone opted for Honda's own dashcam? How's the picture quality and features?

And has anyone opted to have outside 3rd party dashcam installed? Does that void the warranty?

Very much like to hear your views

I am using honda cam for both front and rear, quality acceptable but can't compare to 70mai.

Best part is don't need to worry abt warranty, as I am also using their tinting for both cars.

Abt the warranty, better be conservative, because honda sensing camera is really sensitive. If you trust the workshop then can go ahead for third party installation, or unless the SC manager "promise" will help you cover it when you want to claim, las time can do like this but now very hard to do this. SC won't just void your warranty when they see you see you are using third party tinting and dash cam. But issue only arise when you want to claim for item like dashboard electronic components or honda sensing camera, then they will reject it by saying that the issue might be due to third party tinting or improper dash cam installation.

the real advantage of the new CRV over the colder unit is

360 reverse camera
bigger boot

for the price difference before any rebate for the older unit, I will say that the new unit is worth the price increase of about 5k right

so depends on the what rebate still available for the older units

No more stock lar for the old model since September. On September only red is left. Now long gone.

I would say the mid-spec E is a great deal over the old CRV 1.5T. Only 5K more but you get a bigger size, more spacious SUV, the latest tech and ADAS.

Of course, if you are willing to top up another 12K from E to V spec, that is the best rounded package. The long missing 360 camera, AWD (albeit slightly slower and higher fuel consumption), TPMS and many ambient lighting.

For me, the E spec seems to be the best optimal deal as it has almost everything except for the missing crucial (for some) 360 camera. FWD is better for better fuel consumption and slightly better acceleration if you are not going to rougher, hilly roads. The many ambient light of V spec is nice but can be missed. But most who can afford to buy CRV will just top up to V spec to get the complete package at least for petrol variant.

The 360 camera needs to top up 17K over the old 1.5T FWD price. Old one cannot get anymore. The E spec has everything the old one had with an increase of 5k only. It IS a bigger SUV, with the latest update, so that 5K increase already worth it.

the 360 camera only in the AWD abd and RS

Too bad for the 2WD folks

not worth paying so much if you really just want the 360 without the AWD that no everyone needs

You still haven't gotten your car right? So CRV is a top pick?

Personally, the updated drive train is very worth it

Only lane watch and lacking blind spot systems is a bit sour

Almost buy XV or Cross, already taken out the downpayment from fd then daughter say going to stay near her uni until graduation mid next year.

So no rush in buying anymore, keeping all option open.....again. As long as money still with me, can always opt for cheaper car, expensive car or no car..hahaha

I'm truly tempted by this release, the pricing are beyond my expectation. Thought the cheapest is going be a min. of 180K and above. Turned out cost cutting in Malaysia CKD managed to bring it down to "affordable" pricing for a CRV.

The spec of E variant generally fulfilled all my base expectation, want legroom got legroom, want comfort, got comfort, want boot space, got boot space, can truly sit 3 pax at back with comfort. All the necessary specs are there in E variant with only the the lacked 360 camera, a sore point along with BSM. No cool ambient cosmetic light ok coz need 12k to get that in. AWD has both its advantage (stable, better hilly ride) and disadvantage (more fc and maintenance cost) but with 12k increase at my base limit, can forgo.

Honda comes out with their logic of needing lanewatch....can see motorbike, more useful for Asean countries. But BSM can detect cars, both left and right side. which one more important, detect cars or motobike. Is lanewatch cheaper?

Still thinking whether to spend over 210k-220k for a car (including interest) worth it or not. Now got half a year again to see see again. Even if buy, will not buy first batch.
In the end, likely buy City ...hahaha..That one really no pressure in buying....save petrol some more.

If you plan to buy city for long term use, better buy now, wack the agent to match discount up to 15K. Can save the 2% sst some more. Contact multiple agent from different branches. Some willing to give max discount to close the deal due to year end, exclude "Johor"

If plan to spend 170k for crv e variant, I will compare it with Tiguan all space and cherry tiggo 8 also, then go for the one that I like. Last mth saw the Tiguan All space outside Jaya grocer, seen quite ok, now got year end discount, 180k can get already. Tiggo got all the safety features, including BSM

Unlikely to go City coz got too many City size sedan at home liao....unless budget got no choice, last resort. Aiming for Crossover or SUV first.

175K already my maxed out limit, so still considering want to get or not as CRV space and spec is what I want now but sakit hati on the maxing the budget, so keep delaying....until price goes up, then cannot afford, got reason to not get..hahaha

For very long term use, Tiguan in lets say 15 years, parts and repair will be very costly due to small numbers of cars sold here. Half cut also expensive. Cars with small volume, no OEM part to buy. One of the main reason H and T very popular, 15 years can still easily can half cut, oem new parts if original no more produce. Also H & T tends to keep supplying consumable parts even after 15 years. I can still buy 17 years old City air filter from H recently.

Tiggo 8 same issue with Tiguan, long term use, parts availability, 15 years down the road, headlamp also cannot find or have to wait for import, if any. Don't like the suspension of Tiggo 8 tho. A bit too soft / bouncy for me. FC not going to be good as well.

Tiguan have not try, too expensive to buy and own, above my maxed out budget even with discount.

Cialat, I forgot totally on 2%SST.....maybe have to buy now...but then CRV waiting time is about 3 months....hit 1st March 2% IN.

I would think cx8 is one level higher compare to crv. Cx 8 only high plus variant come with the full driving assistance features like honda sensing, and it cost RM197k. The mid range cost 177k doesn't has much safety features. Plus it use 2.5 litre engine.

Tiguan all space also selling at 210k, but now it got huge year end discount
