QUOTE(evangelion @ Jul 28 2020, 10:46 PM) It's definitely a slightly larger CRV and I gotta admit though, the side profile looks nicer.. Reminds of of Audi.. Unfortunately it appears to be a China only release. So don't expect it here anytime soon.QUOTE(limyusiong @ Jul 29 2020, 08:41 AM) Hmmm, depends.. Tiguan is also a nice car to drive. Some would even say it's a better handler than the CX-5. But over here? Badge and past owner's history pretty much kills it for most as an option. RV is definitely worst of all 3. Personally, I did try to go test drive it.. But 2 visits to separate showrooms (on different days) and none could provide a vehicle to test drive. So I went on to the others and struck it off my list. I've seen a few on the road and it does look handsome. Just no heart pulls. This post has been edited by voncrane: Aug 1 2020, 10:23 PM |

If u have the budget to stretch to 200k , y don't u take a look of the rav 4. With a tnga platform, it's a driver's car. The chassis is study n solid. It absorbs the bump quite well n it doesn't slump when taking corners. The dynamic force engine very responds n got lot of torque on low rpm. But with that kind of money, lot with go with the BMW X1 which cost the same. The rav 4 is a keep car while the BMW u got the badge. If u all gonna buy this generation model buy it because next gen model all gonna hit 200k in this segment unless u downgrade.

Tiguan now is about same price with crv 2.0 if you are not aware. I still yet to decide, whether stay with sedan, or go to suv. If sedan, I might consider Passat elegance (~162k), or suv (it could be crv 2.0/1.5t 2wd, or Tiguan 1.4). If possible. I try to manage within 140-145k...this narrow down my choice to crv 2.0 or Tiguan 1.4 |

Hmm, I’m not aware of any proper comparisons.. Besides with such purchases, emotions towards the car definitely plays a strong part. So I suggest you test drive both or more, check things off your requirements list then simply get that which ticks the most boxes. For me and probably all SUV owners on here, we pretty much ruled out sedan as an option. Perhaps, start with that first.. QUOTE(Old1030 @ Aug 2 2020, 05:25 PM) tiguan is RM160k,, no? Yes selling around 160k but throw in discount as huge as 22k...make it around 140k+ minusnow VW offer 6 month free installment and if my memory serve me right, now they also offer free maintenance, i forgot how many months I test drove Tiguan, but i need the back passenger space If you test drive it, then you will falls in love and if you really want it,, buy Tiguan Join Yes, I do need the back passenger seat. Currently my accord still can do the job, 2 car seat and wife sit in btw as she really small size...do u think CR-V or Tiguan can do the better job? (We try not to touch medium size mpv such as serena, as this kind of sitting arrangement happen only 20% when we travel outstation) |

My opinion go with the crv. It got lot of space. VW got a lot of problem in the long run. Yes it is fun to drive but with higher maintenance fees. If u are a keeper , then go with the crv. If not u can try the Tiguan. Set aside the rv.
