Went for the 1k milleage checking and lock nut installation. Done less than 1.5 hours including complimentary car wash. I paid around $240 for the lock nut after 15% discount.

I have driven 140kph before but probably for just a minute before having to reduce speed.. it's not often I get to go to 140kph unfortunately. What sort of humming noise did you hear? From the engine or cabin noise? I definitely do not recall any noise but I didn't drive that fast enough anyway.

I believe this humming noise is what I heard clearly during the test drive of the 1.5TCP last month which really put me off. But that didn't happen only above 140km/h, it was quite obvious even at 80km/h.

It is probably the noise from the CVT.

All document the issue and pester Honda collectively.. Cuz if individually, they'll just lie or walk around it saying it's "normal".. Make sure to record safely and in a way that doesn't show exactly what highway you were on. So one doesn't record oneself committing 2 offenses. We don't have lemon laws so best is to get them to issue a recall.

of course/ Honda Malaysia hold the changing for my bearing regarding this issues and i suspect it related to resonances or design flaw.

Yes, if considered a major issue that can result in untimely deaths. It's like the Takata airbag issue. Sure it deploys as normal, but certain deployment means death even in low impact crashes. Incase, you are unaware, Honda did recall the 2016 HRV over a stabilizer bar issue. An issue that can potentially lead to tyre puncture and instability. You might say you won't speed so much, but the other guy? Remember some accidents happen with some car crashing into one or several other vehicles.

A friend of mine told me its a bearing and knuckle problem. The issue exist but some SC are either pretending to be unaware. So half baked. I spoke to a technical guy and he also told HM wont do testing above 110km/h.

No. Most are CKDs, meaning they are assembled in their plant at Melaka

Seems like this forum has been completely quiet. Was there any update from Honda Malaysia on the humming noise?
