QUOTE(wira1979 @ Nov 21 2017, 12:11 PM) Hello again guys. Lyn auto garage would be a good indicator. I saw some offering 8k.After months of deliberation, looks like I'll be going for a CR-V as my next vehicle (TC-P model). Appreciate if you guys have any good leads on Honda centres that offer good discounts/packages. So far, the only one I've been to (Tenaga Setia at PJ) is offering a RM6k to RM7k discount. Any other centres can offer better deals? Thanks and appreciate it. |

QUOTE(Henry T @ Nov 24 2017, 07:48 AM) How it drives? Don't know yet. Good that the car is well built. Agree on the rear design but I can accept it. At casual inspection, a well put together car. Paintwork and cabin have a premium feel. The Android Auto is pretty cool. As for the design, especially the rear, I think I'll learn to like it. Btw, Pearl White paint is an additional RM 400. Yes, I’d like to know how it drives too. I read that ppl say it’s a bit underpowered but I think I can live with that. I’m not the speed kind of driver. One thing is the road tax more pricey. I’m not sure about the maintenance cost compared to the 1.5 (Honda website said engine oil depends on indicator). |

QUOTE(kider @ Nov 24 2017, 08:41 AM) Got my 2.0 Dark Olive last 2 weeks and last weekend I got the chance to drive in highway. Personally I don't feel any under-powered on this car. Steady driving at 140-150km/h. Perhaps the pickup might not be "that" good but overall a nice car to me. Thank you for the feedback. Olive green is my choice color. It’s good to know that the car is not underpowered. My max speed is only 110-120km/h. Usually, I will stay within speed limit. My main concern is on safety. Nowadays, I noticed a lot of trucks are driving recklessly and hoarding the middle lane of the highway. |

QUOTE(Henry T @ Nov 24 2017, 10:37 AM) Underpowered? Yes, if you just stepped out from driving a Nissan GTR. But it will be powerful if you just stepped up from a Perodua Axia. All things are relative. Plan to do the test drive during my hols. Then will decide. Leaning towards the 2.0. Don't just read reviews and compare numbers. Of course 100 hp is always greater than 95. Road testers have their own bias and preferences too. The best thing is do the Pepsi test when you go for a test drive. Don't compare numbers or read any reviews or brochures. Just drive the damn thing and see how you feel about it. Don't you trust yourself? Btw, my other car is a 2016 Mazda CX5 2.5 GLS. So, there is comparison. |

QUOTE(Henry T @ Dec 1 2017, 09:57 AM) Power is adequate but there won't be any quick take-offs. Thank you for the update. Appreciate the candid feedback. I will look around this month and decide. If I do get the crv, I’d like to get the 2.0 rather than the turbo 1.5. The con would be the road tax $438.80.Suspension is soft for comfort bias obviously. Body roll is prominent. So, the feel, steer and handling is typically Japanese. The CX5 wins in this department. I think I have to change my opinion on CVTs. The one in the CR-V is refine and positive. The cabin and boot are huge compared to, say, the CX5. I have not build up enough mileage to give a more accurate reading on the fuel consumption. For the turbo owners, how is the servicing cost so far? Update: ok just read the post above. Seems reasonable servicing cost. This post has been edited by ftan: Dec 1 2017, 04:30 PM |

Decided on the 2.0 spec. Fastest I can get the car is end of this month.
Any advice on the tint? Been reading this thread. Looks like most ppl did the tint outside. |

QUOTE(wira1979 @ Dec 12 2017, 10:20 AM) FYI, I opted for Ecotint. i was thinking of that too. but either way works since it is holiday time now.Honda are giving a 5 year tint warranty and you can include the tint in your vehicle price. Also, didn't want the hassle of having to driving the car to the tint shop, picking it up later, etc. |

Received my car today. So far it is ok. I don’t hear any tick tick sound or vibration during my short drive. The engine was pretty quiet and driving was smooth around my town area. I was driving at low speed. Pickup seems ok too. Let’s see how it goes when I drive on highway and longer distance/duration.

I’m ahead of time but I have booked the 1k servicing next month and to install the lock nuts from Honda.
Aside from that I’m looking for car mats (may opt for cheap ones), dvr and coating (maybe). |

QUOTE(Yellow lemon @ Dec 25 2017, 11:46 PM) Where did you buy the car mat? Price seems ok if it is tailor made to fit the crv. Btw, do you keep aside the original Honda car mats or put the new mats on top of the original ones?I’m thinking to just get the normal rubber types and place them on top of the original mats (driver side need to be careful). Price should be around $50. |

QUOTE(AlvinChipmunk @ Dec 26 2017, 06:12 AM) Hi, anyone can recommend a good sales agent that if possible gives good discount in KL, Selangor area. I plan to book one, still thinking whether to get Honda Sensing or not. You can pm me or post it here. Thanks a lot. Try to enquire from ZeroXI. I bought my car from him. |

QUOTE(Yellow lemon @ Dec 26 2017, 02:31 PM) Sorry, what is DVR? the camera recorder? Rm2.5k? Yes, Dvr is the camera recorder. I also plan to get a cheap one but most importantly, the installation (hiding the cables) must be good. I didnt plan to install one, but i thought can get a cheap cheap one around Rm 30 ~ Rm 500? The coating quotation I got was 2.5k. QUOTE(voncrane @ Dec 26 2017, 02:37 PM) Yup, that’s what I meant. I’m a she, btw. |
