maybe the whole lte lock cannot volte just by system/firmware lock/not lock.

But i just tried on my A7 2017, the volte logo just disappeared if i forced to 4g only..

The phone n of coz the network need to design for scenario whr ppl fall into weak coverage area when they make/receive call...

Phone needs to inform its capabilities to handover to 3g. Not inform network that all calls will drop to 3g.

Tried 2 scenario:

1) force to LTE all -> volte logo hilang
2) disable common wcdma band in malaysia (2100 n 900) -> volte remain

2nd scenario is the best way to force phone stay at 4g only as the phone cannot handover/drop to 3g

So, ur phone will get volte n 4g all the while, OR
Emergency call only if u out of lte coverage lolx

Errr, wondering need to disable 2g band or no to remain at 4g. As i duno digi/other operators implement handover from volte to 2g or no.

erm, at nilai, every 10 mins disconnect once, and the line very slow, keep restart also useless

so, device that wants to use VoLTE *MUST* still be able to fallback to 3G - as failover. VoLTE is just a preferred option when possible.

this requirement of VoLTE needing to be able to failover to 3G is applicable to only Digi network? all in malaysia? or wordwide?

probably not important, not a must. some countries, like australia, no longer have 2G signal, all refarmed into LTE.
