QUOTE(Xaser_3 @ Sep 4 2018, 09:16 AM) Yes, I experienced this as well and was lucky that I was in Hong Kong and Thailand between 2 billing cycles, hence I had the advantage of having 10GB at my disposal. RLH is excellent and a life saver as I no longer need to acquire international sim cards. The speed is decent too. Then, when back to Malaysia, 10mbps...... Ha ha ha (I'm subscribing i80)

QUOTE(bjohnxbjohn @ Sep 3 2018, 11:59 PM) I am careful with this too. Always monitor the balance quota. The best arrangement is going to overseas during 2 billing cycle, lol. As this is only given 5gb, I use RLH + hotel WiFi while travel. General browsing and email by WiFi. Only banking related matters are RLH Yes, two cycles will be great. This time my trip didn't manage to spread to following cycle, however I used it to browse net, FB, IG, post photos on these apps and also chatting via WhatsApp/Telegram. Most importantly, used it for my e-wallets, I still manage to utilize within 5GB for 9 days. Precisely around 2.7GB, I only used it when I was outside or if WiFi in hotel is slow as I need to connect to VPN to access blocked sites and apps.

I got unlucky. I went to a DiGi store in Bukit Bintang to have them activate the Roam Like Home plan. The CS that attended to me was very clear that he knows that I wanted that particular plan to be activated on my i150. He can even tell me about the 5GB quota and no charges since I'm on i150. Then, he says it was activated and therefore, I just assume it is activated. I went back and check and I received an SMS quoting it was activated. Went off to my short holiday in SG and got curious about my 5GB quota not showing on the DiGi app. Instantly, I got shocked that my unbilled amount went up to RM36 immediately. Quickly I called DiGi CS and to only found out the person @ BB only activated INTERNATIONAL ROAMING and not Roam Like Home. Lucky the OTP CS quickly activated the Roam Like Home to me and told me to send them the sms received after that BB activation so that my bill can be credited.
Anyways, everyone, please do make sure that your Roam Like Home is activated and stated in the sms "Roam Like Home activated..." and not "International Roaming is activated". I got confused by the both.
Somehow, the guy @ BB probably dreaming while activating the plan for me but able to tell me everything about the plan I wanted.

Yes, it is very important to ensure RLH is activated. Easiest way to identify is to check with via MyDigi app as it has separate quota for RLH data and voice.

I thought the quota will only appear if I am connected to a roaming partner and that was why I did not care to check more thoroughly before heading out to my holiday destination. Oh well, it seems like the unbilled amount on my DiGi app went 0. Not sure it's because of they revert it already or it's September and it's being refreshed. Got to wait for the bill to come and probably give me a shock.

Usually telco's are not so generous.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 3 2018, 08:49 PM) Luckily no issue for me, Digi serves me well from China (data roaming via RLH) to PJ. Stable and fast all the way. I can not describe how convenient it is with RLH in China since everything is blocked there. With RLH, I almost forgot I was in China. Browsed FB, IG, chatted on WhatsApp and Telegram and searched via Google like a boss. Most importantly, I used e-wallets all the time in China and 4G was everywhere! Even middle of river, top of the mountain and middle of the sea. Bravo to Digi for partnering with China Mobile, I was always using China Unicom all these years because CMCC did have 4G compatibility issue with overseas phones but glad that all solved now. I can even get 4G+ at certain places. bro when i was in china did you connect to their free wifi? they usually need to use local phone number to register the wifi like KFC or mcdonald. think cannot use their free wifi with MY number right.

Ever since I got Digi Infinte 150 and Netflix and my new 4K TV, I have been considering VPN to access US Netflix content. I am using B618. Any recommendations for a VPN in this case?
