I heard SBM culture, hire a lot people on contract basis. When the contract ends, they release them, keep only one or two people stay. Then, hire again other contract workers.
*
They were retrenching until early last year.
Once new projects in they look again for more staffs.

I can forsee that the value would be big...particularly with high CO2 content..exotic material needed and CO2 removal tech will be involved. It makes sense to tie back to E11 RA. (if not mistaken part of Shallow clastic operated by PCSB rep after handover from shell.)

MMCOG did the FEED study on this previously.
*
Not true.

FEED competition done 4-5 years ago.

MMCOG- yes, Sapura
Worley-If not mistaken?
Technip-With MMHE

Hi guys. Can I ask, those of you who had multiple interviews for a job with floating production system owner/operators e.g. Technip. How long was the interval between interviews? Thank you.
*
Technip do not own Fpso

Try sbm or Yinson or MISC Maybe

TechnipFMC has been awarded by BP a large contract for the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of the floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit to be deployed offshore on the maritime border of Mauritania and SenegaL.
*
Example of contract for fpso without owner operators kind of scheme.
After complete hand over to operator which is like ExxonMobil or Shell or Petronas.

Went to the open interview for MMHE today in Lumut. Seems like they need experienced technicians and operators to work with. As a fresh grad I stand no chance, my resume is under KIV. Wait for 2+ hours, went in the room and 5 mins later I came out.

Tomorrow has the same open interview again, good luck for those who want to try their luck.
*
If your degree is in Chemical (which I guess it is) , better don't seek for job there. They have limited opening/jobs in this area...Whereas if you are from Mechanical (piping) or Civil or Electrical background, there will be good chance with Fabricator like Sapura/MMHE.

I hope so. They did few things:
1) Hire experienced SBM workers
2) Hire experienced Bumi Armada workers
3) MoU with fabricators/Singapore n Brazil
4) MoU/partner with OEM/engineering
5) MoU/partner with Brazillian O&M operator

Lots of other things were done during Mero 2 bid. Im not sure if they have tied up with any of the competitors. But Mero 3 will be most likely awarded to either MODEC or SBM.

Lets see how MISC/Yinson will deliver Limbayong if they were to be awarded by Petronas
*
There's a long article on MODEC + SBM future in Brazil. Unfortunately, need log in.

Can u suggest me some good starting point for a chemical(fresh)?
*
Operator company
Example: Exxonmobil is hiring many Chemical grads, Petronas,Murphy, Repsol, etc.

Engineering company

Example: Worley, Aker, P RNZ, MMC, Technip, etc.......
Chemical will be in demand in those companies which do facilities design for greenfield..

FPSO Operator:
Example: SBM, Bumi Armada, MISC (limited) .

You can also join process technology company or vendors doing specialized equipment,
Example is UOP, Axens, NOV.

Thanks. Any idea how much technip pay their subsea fabrication engineer? I’m applying the job. Just wondering how much you guys earn. Aerospace companies pay peanuts.

user posted image

My application for subsea fabrication engineer also cannot be withdrawn already. Tbh, it gives me hope. But i hate hopes. If they offer RM 4k for salary, i will straight away accept the offer. Lol
*
With your experience of 3 years get RM4k should be no problem.
This means your current maybe 2.5k , which is VERY low.
