I heard SBM culture, hire a lot people on contract basis. When the contract ends, they release them, keep only one or two people stay. Then, hire again other contract workers.

Don't most companies do this nowadays ?

Went to the open interview for MMHE today in Lumut. Seems like they need experienced technicians and operators to work with. As a fresh grad I stand no chance, my resume is under KIV. Wait for 2+ hours, went in the room and 5 mins later I came out.

Tomorrow has the same open interview again, good luck for those who want to try their luck.

I hope so. They did few things:
1) Hire experienced SBM workers
2) Hire experienced Bumi Armada workers
3) MoU with fabricators/Singapore n Brazil
4) MoU/partner with OEM/engineering
5) MoU/partner with Brazillian O&M operator

Lots of other things were done during Mero 2 bid. Im not sure if they have tied up with any of the competitors. But Mero 3 will be most likely awarded to either MODEC or SBM.

Lets see how MISC/Yinson will deliver Limbayong if they were to be awarded by Petronas

My application for subsea fabrication engineer also cannot be withdrawn already. Tbh, it gives me hope. But i hate hopes. If they offer RM 4k for salary, i will straight away accept the offer. Lol
