Not sure about the recruitment though. MMC maybe already have names during tender, hence they should stick to what they have proposed. unless if they plan to change.

Brownfield scope is not big. They are not hiring.

Mmhe is hiring. But most positions are based at johor.

Hi everyone, I am a chemical engineer graduate wilth less than 1 year of working experience as a chemist. Any O&G careers recommendation? If possible I would like to have connection here since almost all websites I tried applying for engineer position had no news. MMHE, petrofac, ranhill, basf etc, I had tried, so I want to try my luck here finding a job.
*
Ranhill is hiring. Technip is also hiring.

I am trying to get into a Contract Specialist role at Technip, Modec etc. Can I ask those of you who know, is it useful to have certifications from IACCM? For example, "IACCM Oil & Gas Contracting in Practice"? I already have estimating/commercial experience and a degree in law. Thanks in advance.
*
Do u have oil and gas experience?? This might be the deciding factor

Yes. I did chartering of AHTS, PSV, AWB, FCB vessels in Malaysia previously. And currently doing estimating/commercial for FPSO and FSRU conversions.

As I am not sure why I am having difficulty getting a job with Technip or Modec, I'd appreciate any advice from seniors in this forum please. Thank you.

Try Shapoorji and Bumi Armada. They got a Fpso project that started for a few months already.

Hello guys,

Just want to ask.

If you have a chance to work in long establish small scale private company that sell OCTG/ well completion products, would you take up the role? What is the reason behind?

FYI, currently I am working in Singapore shipyard. For the new role, I have to come back Malaysia and serve the local market.

Appreciate your view.

The project management and engineering teams will be centrally located in McDermott’s Asia-Pacific Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in close proximity to our Batam Island fabrication facility in Indonesia and the COOEC facility in China. The engineering phase is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2019 and fabrication is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2020, with overall completion planned for the fourth quarter of 2022,” McDermott said.

My friend been hired as engineer for this project. During offer letter time his boss told him directly he will join Aramco project.

For PSC company and operator, they are hiring but the position available are limited. Only key & urgent position available.
.
For main contractor, the mass hiring happen at Project section with most of the work terms are contractual basis. But they have received massive applications.
.
Hopefully start this year and onwards, Oil & Gas industry activity increase. wink.gif
