Operators sell the offshore gas to onshore LNG plant via Gas Sale Agreement (GSA), then the onshore LNG plant process and purify the raw gas and compress into LNG, masuk tanker, then sold to buyer.

You cannot have a raw gas to be sold, it must be process, refine and compress into liquid form, hence, LNG, liquid natural gas, as a steady form to enable export masuk tanker, once tanker reach to the buyer terminal, it will be regassified into gas form of state.

A technologist and process engineer can explain this better than me hehehehehe
