Won't catch fire la. I said scorch, as in turn black as it gets burnt by the heat.

Dry Frying is a no no as we cant really control the heat and will most probably burn the crickets. I'm not sure about deep frying, but then again, we wouldn't want oil into our pets' diets.
*
Oh... well, your over will scorch them.... but I think my oven would catch fire like it did with a garlic hahahah.....

My dad went to China, ate some kind of fried worms.... he said taste like french fries hahah.....
If we fry the crickets for ourselves should be ok since we can tolerate a bit of oil but gliders cannot have too much fat in their diet.

Wah, tong mop, so big... I can't afford like that lor, my place small only plus I don't like to have to much bulky stuff around if it is not needed.

Freezer sounds good and easy, but I don wan my husband or worse my in-law to find crickets in my freezer sweat.gif

That's why thot wanna quickly freeze them, bake them, then store then away in a container near Iggy's cage wink.gif

Reanne, use a toaster oven can ah?

Mine doesn't have temp control tho, only minutes, how?

I plan to put them in aluminium foil then bake in the toaster oven (a way to prevent dirtying my oven also la wink.gif )

Have to bake at very low temperature, around 90 - 93 degrees celsius for approx one hour.

Cannot use toaster oven. Toaster ovens and microwave ovens are all set to max heat, cannot change the temp much.

So have to use the ones for baking lor.

It's the small plastic aquarium. Shud have enough ventilation right cuz the cover got holes. My concern is the size. I don't want it to be dying cuz of the stink lah. That's why I'm only using mealworm at the moment, easier to keep.

Cricket can eat mealworm blink.gif

Can, finish in a second. Cos last time my friend gave me 10 of them to try on my gerbils and tarantula. Since I don't buy fruits, so I just let them have mealies.

Mealies can keep for months. I've forgotten when the last time I bought it and it's still alive until today, provide that you feed them with some oat.

3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

That's all? That is a poor diet.... they need variety. Also raw egg is dangerous.... only cooked egg... 1st page already got a long list on food suitable for gliders.

Added on May 18, 2007, 10:10 amJust for your info...after monitoring frodo for another night...he is finally back to normal..no more hissing sound while peeing or poo poo.....he even peed at my feet while i was feeding eowyn.....till my toes all wet.... mad.gif ....i can imagine how much apple juice he drank ..... hmm.gif

Even Gollum's poo is also a long big one...not tic tac size...

Apple juice works perfectly.... thumbup.gif

Does their pee smell? I finds my critters pee quite smelly! When they pee on me I have to wash it immediately. Plus it only takes them a day to make their cage smelly again, after the cage was painstakingly washed and scrubbed down shocking.gif

Has anyone tried doing tent time with their suggies yet? If yes..... where can I find a free standing tent that isn't too pricey?
