QUOTE(christ14 @ Dec 2 2017, 10:27 PM) understandable. which is why im planning. been awhile trying to go whats gona shock me is theres not gona any subtitiles If u mean language, don’t worry about it. Most people have this perception that it will be hard to travel in JPN due to the language barrier - it’s not quite true. You will get by especially in major cities. The school going Japanese population are actually taught English, they just lack the practice and shyness. Even when they don’t speak the language, they will try very hard to help out even so much as going out of their way to do so. After so many years of Japan and it’s local culture, the only draw back I feel nowadays is sometimes being mistaken for Chinese mainlanders. Go forth and conquer! You will be better off from the enriching experience gained. This post has been edited by chaos32: Dec 2 2017, 10:42 PM

Hi guys, is JTBmalaysia the only place I can get to buy the JR pass? I googled around, there are some cheaper...but no walk in collection, only courier service.
As my trip is less than a month, safest bet is to get from JTB though slightly expensive. Hmm

My flight from Sapporro to KL is at 9.22am and if I were to take subway and reach airport at 6.55am and check in luggage, still enough time to board the plane? Anyone who just came back from sapporro can share their experiences?

Caught the first train to the airport and had about an hour to spare. Considered a domestic flight though, since i transited at Narita. Just sharing my experience

Anyone who just came back from sapporro can share their experiences? Going on Dec - March period? Then cannot make it. Mostly morning train will shut down for clearing the snow on track. So those deadly morning train mostly will be cancel. If snow blizzard, train service will be shutdown also. Sapporo Station got Bus to Chitose Airport. Take earliest Bus at 5.20am. Due to snowing bus will be driving slowly also. Must take earliest bus to Airport. This post has been edited by RegentCid: Dec 3 2017, 10:35 AM

Do visit Kyoto Nama Chocolate house if you have a chance. Where the locals bring GF. Organic handmade chocolate. Open from 12pm - 4pm. Go early else you are required to queue. Handmade chocolate. Very unique taste. Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(lyc1982 @ Dec 2 2017, 10:08 PM) hhmm...so 3 days to cover both city and outskirts sounds good ? If you want to enjoy I would say at least 4-5 days. City itself will take you 1 day strolling along the river and the peace park. Miyajima will take you at least 0.5 days and Iwakuni will be one day due to all the driving. If you want to add Kure or Shimane Island, then you will need more days. As a tourist, there is not much Hiroshima can offer compare to Tokyo. But if you stay there, it is really lovely compare to Tokyo. Lots of communities activities, calm and relaxing. Also I use to go and watch J1, supporting Sanfreece Hiroshima. Those fans are really unique in the way they sing.

True the plae is lovely and there is plenty to see around...but if I had to compare with other places I dd rather add the 2 days somewhere else
